If I'm in the middle of an editing session and want to try to force a table custom sort to re-apply without leaving the editing session, the custom sort GUI does not allow me to do that unless I make a change to the existing custom sort, apply that, and then revert back to the custom sort I really want and apply that. The "OK" button remains grayed out until a change to the sort order is made, and making a change without applying it and then reverting back to the original sort order returns the OK button to grayed out status, so I can't even trick it. This is true even if I make a manual save during the edit session to lock in the new values. OK button grayed out in Custom Sort My workaround trick for now is to add an additional sort field in the last sorting position that has no actual impact on the sorting order (either because all its values are the same or are all empty or all other sort fields already establish a unique sorting order) and flip that bogus field between Ascending and Descending as a fake "change". Is the inability to re-apply a custom sort after an edit expected behavior? Would be nice not to have to do my little clunky workaround.

Thanks @Bud - I found this too: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/announcements/whats-new-in-arcgis-pro-3-2/#editing-experience. It is similar to ArcMap, in that when editing non-versioned data with Save/Discard enabled, you can only edit data in one workspace at a time. However, unlike in ArcMap, the Und/Redo buttons are not available once you have applied your edits. So, my advice would be to save often. One related piece of behavior I noticed is that when I set the "automatically save edits" option to occur after each edit transaction, and then I made 3 edits to my table without manually saving, when I attempted to manually discard those 3 edits, that was actually successful, so it looks like being in toggled editing mode with a single workspace overrides the auto save edits option.

Hi @AmeliaBradshaw,we would like an update too. We currently edit MANY non-versioned tables and feature classes in our Oracle enterprise (SDE) database in ArcMap, and if this functionality is not coming to ArcGIS Pro, it will be a huge issue to say the least. I recall it was on the Pro Roadmap at one point. Thanks.

Seems like a basic element for a map. Why was it left off (and still not in) the new Map Viewer??

I would like to see more font choices listed in the Page Settings > Design > Typography section of the new ArcGIS Online Home Page Editor. Perhaps there could even be suggested pairings, so if you want to mix and match a title and body font we could select from such a list. Doesn't have to be too extensive, just some more type families so that not all ArcGIS Online home pages look like they fell out of the same template.

I agree. I would also like to see more font choices at least, and the ability to add some rich text capabilities and perhaps html source editing.

Hi Jake, I have a Python script that for years worked fine in SDE 10.0. It deletes a version owned by SDE if it exists and then re-creates it (it's a child of another user's version). It then posts it to SDE.DEFAULT. Now we are at 10.8.1 for the enterprise GDB (Oracle 19c). The Python script now fails on the delete version step, saying there is a lock by user SDE. How do I get past this? Interestingly, I CAN delete the SDE-owned version from the Administer GDB GUI, but not using ArcPy either in a script or in the Python window in ArcCatalog. I clicked on your link above for the script for reconciling/posting versions but it just goes to https://community.esri.com/. Is the one at https://community.esri.com/t5/python-questions/using-a-python-script-to-reconcile-and-post/td-p/352748/page/2 applicable? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would like to do this for a DEM, which has its units as meters, to also show the units in feet. A simple calculation would make this work and benefit our users who are more familiar with feet than meters.

I find it very frustrating that this is how popups behave. It is confusing for users to sometimes have to click the next arrow button and sometimes not have to click it to see the information of a particular layer. Users, especially the more novice ones, need a consistent experience when navigating an app. If we want to use and promote ArcGIS Online maps and apps we need to be able to cater to our users and not confuse them. Consistent popup order seems like basic functionality. Why has Esri not yet done anything with this in the nearly SEVEN years since this Idea was added?

My pleasure, Andres. I just discovered an English adaptation of "O Makunde" called "If I Could Reach Your Heart" from the same soundtrack. You may also like "Alegria" by Cirque du Soleil (I heard it at the 2004 UC). I would also recommend another 2004 UC song: "Adiemus" by Adiemus (Karl Jenkins). ("Kayama" by Adiemus is also good). Esri has good taste in music! If you want other musical recommendations in this genre feel free to contact me directly.

Bo, great to see the videos. but I was thinking about the music played before the plenary as people entered the hall, and also during the intermission and before the closing session. I saw a similar post from the 2017 UC -- https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-10150-2017-esri-uc-plenary-music-playlist and was hoping you had something like that for this year.
