I have created annotation for a feature class, in the mxd (not geodatabse annotation). The overflow annotation window popped up when I first created it, and I closed it at that time. When I go to editing windows, the overflow annotation window is greyed out - doesn't matter if I start an editing session, it continues to be greyed out. Am I missing something since this annotation window has been moved under the editing tool bar? Any suggestions are appreciated!

You can only add new field to raster of integer type (not floating point). It can be done in the same way as for feature class - in attribute table menu. To check what type is your raster in Catalog window open raster properties and look for Pixel Type value. You can convert floating point raster to integer using Int tool from spatial analyst toolset. But this operation truncates decimal part of raster values. Thanks, but this doesn't quite answer my question. I have two integer fields in two separate rasters and I want to create a new raster by adding the values of these two integer fields...I'm pretty sure raster calculator is what I need, but I don't know how to specify which fields to add together. Thanks 🙂

I have two raster datasets and would like to add the values of two fields; not the Value field. Can anyone help me out with the proper syntax for raster calculator to add together user defined fields? Thanks!

Do you have MS Access? Access can handle much larger files then Excel.

Is this a spatial analyst or 3D analyst issue? perhaps a redirect to the appropriate forum would be advised, this is the General forum Yes, it is a spatial analyst issue...my mistake for posting in the general forum. Do you know how it can be moved?

I am working on the post development plans for a quarry. The pit will be mined out to an elevation of 98m. I need to create a slope of 30 degrees from the edge of the quarry boundary (to the pit floor elevation of 98m). Then, within this sloped area, I need to generate contours. I have attached an image of an old plan that shows what I am trying to accomplish (AE_Post_CP.jpg) and an image of the new contours I am working with. The new contours came from survey points that are much more accurate then the contours on the old plan. The second image (post_working.jpg) shows the old sloped area, quarry boundary and new contours. Any suggestions for creating the new 30 degree sloped area and contours within this area would be greatly appreciated! I am working in 9.3.1 and have all extensions. Neala
