Hi. We want to capture latitude, longitude in a public web survey opened from a QR code. It seems the (unskilled) operator needs to open the geopoint map and click on the 'target' icon to get this to work. Is there a way to hide and automate this more, even if the operator needs to accept a "location accept" permission request? Thanks!

I have survey with a bunch of similar style of yes/no questions together but one won't show any values in the Survey123 webpage Data tab or in anything exported (XLS,Shape,KML). The Analyze tab DOES show values in this field for all records. It is also possible to filter on those values, but still nothing appears in the field's column. Anyone experienced similar to this?

Thanks Hamid. We have to work off network sometimes and I will try to load 110k records to reverse geocode. You have given me inspiration to try this !

I have been able to do it on a known list of addresses (~100k) by creating a string of rounded Lat Lon values and storing them with the addresses in the survey itself. I calculate the same string of rounded Lat Lon values from the GPS location inside the survey and then string match it against the survey table. It works well with smaller properties but we will soon create a basemap with targets on them to ensure the pin is dropped in the right location. Reply back if you require more info on this.

We are collecting private information using Survey123 and, due to privacy laws, need to ensure it is not stored in a readable format in locations out of our direct control. I'd like to look at encrypting the data on the mobile device before we upload and then decrypting it when the data returns back in house. The data to be encrypted would be names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. I could imagine we use a "seed" string otr value, or a simple ascii translation process. Any ideas or tips would be very welcome.

Brad, I'm trying do something similar. I tried this in the geopoint constraint using separate pulldata functions but it still allowed all points to validate even if outside the range of lat/lon I set. geopoint constraint (${X_Value}>140 and ${X_Value}<150 and ${Y_Value}>-39.2 and ${Y_Value}<-36) where X_Value calculation pulldata("@geopoint",${location},"x") Y_Value calculation pulldata("@geopoint",${location},"y") Can you see where I've got this wrong ?

With many people entering data on multiple devices, errors and duplicates can occur. How do you delete a record within the survey ? It would make sense if this option was on the web when looking at the collected data. Thanks

How do I import a very large number of points into my survey with *some* preloaded data including Lat/Lon locations. In the data I have customer addresses and spatial locations I want the surveyors to travel to and collect data. The pulldata function needs a key field ? I don't have one. How do I do this and is this the best solution ?

Looks like I found my answer. The code doesn't like uppercase OR. This worked.... ${knock_result} = 'not_home' or ${knock_result}= 'not_interested' or ${knock_result} ='commercial_prop' Thanks Darren.

I need to prompt for a question based on 3 of 5 possible known results of a previous question else hide it. How do I code an OR operator in 'relevant' ?
