Hi I have used clip tool to extract data from input feature table. my input feature table has objectid field with point geometry. when data is extracted by the clip tool it returns me all the fields in the input feature table but it creates its own objectid field in other word it does not copy the data from the objectid field of the input feature table. i want that the extracted data will also have same objectids as they are input feature table , is there any way to do it. I appreciate any comments and help regards nadeem

I have used network analyst tool box as can be seen in attached model. This model is working fine. when i run it under ArcMAp it gives me routes and stop and also draws routes between two given point. I published it as synchronous geoprocessing service and accessed it in flex application. I provide the required parameter and execute the task using execute method. it returns me the length of the route. however i also want to draw the route between two points in my flex application. Please see the attached model and below is the geoprocessing detail. Now is there any suggestion how i can draw the route in my flex application: thanks. code that I using in the flex web application to read the route length is : private function SolveRoutes_Complete(event:GeoprocessorEvent):void { parameterValue = event.executeResult.results[0]; fset = FeatureSet(parameterValue.value); for each ( var myfset:Graphic in fset.features) //event.parameterValues[0].value.features ) { Alert.show("Rname"+ myfset.attributes.RouteName + "Clength"+ myfset.attributes.Cumul_Length); } } Detail of Geoprocessing service: Execution Type: esriExecutionTypeSynchronous Parameters: Parameter: Expression Data Type: GPString Display Name Expression Direction: esriGPParameterDirectionInput Default Value: ObjectID= 82949 or ObjectID =78012 Parameter Type: esriGPParameterTypeOptional Category: Parameter: Stops Data Type: GPFeatureRecordSetLayer Display Name Stops Direction: esriGPParameterDirectionOutput Default Value: Geometry Type: esriGeometryPoint HasZ: true HasM: false Spatial Reference: 29900 (29902) Fields: OBJECTID ( type: esriFieldTypeOID , alias: OBJECTID ) Name ( type: esriFieldTypeString , alias: Name , length: 128 ) RouteName ( type: esriFieldTypeString , alias: RouteName , length: 128 ) Sequence ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: Sequence ) TimeWindowStart ( type: esriFieldTypeDate , alias: TimeWindowStart , length: 8 ) TimeWindowEnd ( type: esriFieldTypeDate , alias: TimeWindowEnd , length: 8 ) ArriveCurbApproach ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: ArriveCurbApproach ) DepartCurbApproach ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: DepartCurbApproach ) SourceID ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: SourceID ) SourceOID ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: SourceOID ) PosAlong ( type: esriFieldTypeDouble , alias: PosAlong ) SideOfEdge ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: SideOfEdge ) CurbApproach ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: CurbApproach ) Status ( type: esriFieldTypeInteger , alias: Status ) Attr_Length ( type: esriFieldTypeDouble , alias: Attr_Length ) Cumul_Length ( type: esriFieldTypeDouble , alias: Cumul_Length ) Features: None. Not even a point and you gave yourself credit for the answer. That is not the best way to recognize the time others devote to helping you and attracting help for your problems in the future. I am really very sorry , I do not know how the points are earned. i clicked the last answer by you as the one who helped me. I really appreciate your effort and sorry about this misunderstanding.

? No idea what you are talking about. What do you mean by find matching records? You said you had done a join, but could not get the shape to be part of it. Make Query Table will do the join and make the shape part of the output. Instead of a Join you add both (or even three tables) and define an SQL statement that links the two matching fields you got from the Near Tool and output all of the fields, including the shape field. Without a table snap shot of any of your actual data, it is hard to guide you beyond saying that the principles of the Make Query Table tool are as flexible as SQL and can handle relationships like TableA_B.FID = Table_B.ObjectID. The only limitation relative to a real join is that you cannot do an outer join where records only in one table are kept in the output. It only keeps records in the output that match both tables. But unlike a normal join, it handles one to many and many to many relationships and can preserve the shape from either side of the join (but not from both sides obviously). Thank you after playing with make query table a bit i was able to get what i was trying for .thank you.

If you put both the table and the original features into the same file geodatabase, then you can use the Make Query Table tool (see also this help). When set up properly you can deal with the one to many or many to many relationship and export an output that retains the shapes you want. thanks but note that i want to use the value of field TableB_A to find matching records in TableB. the make query examples uses the hard coded or fixed value. any comment on this....

I have following model(attached) which calculates the nearest feature from table B to table. the output table contain TableB_A contains FID, neardist along with other fields. I want to use FID field from contain Table_A to select the feature from TableB. I mean i want to extract all feature from TableB that have fid value equal to fid value in closestTableB_A. I tried join field but it does not work as I also wants to include the shape field from TableB and join field interface does not show me shape field of TableB . in other words it does not allow to include the geometry information of the features in TableB, any guess.

Sorry , I have now uploaded the model . I need advices 🙂 I am looking on the link u sent to me.may be it would give me an idea. thanks regards nadeem Dear Kevin H. Following your advice i used Select Data however i also unchecked Route as output parameter of my model and it worked. But now it does not draw the line between the given stop rather it gives length of distance between two stops. In case i also want to draw the line than what should i do . I have visited your provided link .the example uses network analysis as service but it does not use any mGP model . Can u please put some light which way is better to use network analysis .1. as GP service or 2 as Network Analysis serviceplease see me attached model with modification. regards nadeem

Your attachment isn't in the post, so I'm just guessing. Have you done a "select" to pull the output route out from the Solve? The output of Solve is actually multiple layers. I have a feeling this, as your final output node is why you're getting the 00082 error (a datatype which GP Server can't return, but could draw in a result map service). I'd recommend going through this help link and comparing what you have to the sample: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/#/Shortest_Route/00570000009q000000/ Sorry , I have now uploaded the model . I need advices 🙂 I am looking on the link u sent to me.may be it would give me an idea. thanks regards nadeem

I have just started working Network analyst in my recent project. I have created network analyst data set and than develop a tool that calculates distance between two given point. The tool is shown in the attached file. I run it on ArcMAP it works fine, than i published it on server , however i received following error: High Unresolved 00082 Output parameter Route in task Model1roadsonemoretry requires a result map service So I want to know what is this error as I want to use my tool as Geoprocessing service that takes my arguments and returns me the best route and route length. Is it must for this network analysis to provide with a result map service or is there any other way to do this. when i used the option asynchronous and checked view with map service , the service is published, but I am not sure how to use it from my Flex application. please help. regards nadeem

You could use the Merge tool to merge the two tables together. Thanks it worked for me. However there is one more question, actually generate near Table tool generated a table that contains objectID,FID near distance etc but it does not return information about geometry of the feature. I tried to used the output of generate near Table with make feature layer tool but it does not worked , is there any way to add the geometry information in the resultant table of generated near Table tool. in other words i want to add shape information in stop1 of my attached model.
