Thanks for the feedback Chris. And yes I did have some GeoFences (3 polygons). I deleted them and now the Java.exe process is only consuming 1GB of RAM. I guess my GeoFences is way to complicated, so I have to look into it. Thanks Kjetil N

Hi. Thanks for this blog, I had to increase the Java Heap Size, and now the events are flowing fine 🙂 I have a question: The memory used by the java.exe process is never released ? I can see that it continues to use 8GB of RAM. regards Kjetil Nymoen

I created a webmap in ArcGIS Online. Added my feature service for editing and a mapservice. On one of the layers in the map service, I configured the popup with "Show related data". This is the servicepoint layer with a 1-M relationship with CustomerInfo table. Popup in the MapViewer works great, and I can view the related CustomerInfo. But this does not work when I use the webmap in Collector! The Popup of the servicepoint in Collector does not give me the option to "Show related data". So in the field, I am not able to provide them data about the customers,..... Collector 10.4.2 Build 1559 on iOS.

I created a webmap in ArcGIS Online, and added my feature service used for editing, and also added a map service from my ArcGIS Server (using ......./rest/services/Field/Elnetwork/MapServer ). Then I configured the Search for Layer, and selected a layer from my map service. I open the webmap in Map Viewer, and my search works perfect. I open the webmap using Explorer on my iPhone, and the search works perfect. But then I open the webmap in Collector on my iPhone, and the search does not work!!! It return "No result found". So Collector does not support search for layers from a MapServer. The only way is to add layer by layer from a MapServer. Collector version 10.4.2 Build 1559 for iOS.

SpatioTemporalDatabase and queries? I am playing with GeoEvent 10.4.1 and SpatioTemporalDatabase. I have loaded all the lightning for Norway since 2001, and have about 2.5 million records. The drawing of the webmap goes fast and looks cool. But I have a question about running queries: I am not able to use output statistics. I do something very simple like this where I Group By the Field YEAR. [{ "statisticType": "count", "onStatisticField": "objectid", "outStatisticFieldName": "StrikesPrYear" }] But it does not work. I really want to do Sum, Average etc, but I am really not able to. I even tried to set up an Operation View, and only counts in the widgets is working. Not average, sum, maximum etc. Hope you are able to help me with this.

Hi. I have a webmap with configured popup on a date field: Here you see the popup in the webmap viewer: Created an Operation View in Dashboard, and do use Feature Pop-Ups. I do open the Operation View in a browser, and the popup gives me the time: Open the operation view in Dashboard but it does not give me the time in the popup, just the date: Is this a bug in the Dashboard desktop client?

I created a single display operation view using a web map with one feature service. This feature service is hosted on premise on my ArcGIS Server, using ArcGIS Web adapter to expose this service outside of the firewall. I then shared this web map and operation view with Public. I then try to open the operation view in a browser by using the URL: Operations Dashboard But then it asks my to login to our ArcGIS Online site. Why? This is a Public Operation view, using a Public web map.

Hi. The Collector app and Dashboard are using webmaps created in ArcGIS Online or in Portal. So you need at least ArcGIS Online. But you should have access to ArcGIS Online, because ESRI gives you access to this as long as you have Licenses for ArcGIS Desktop. So contact ESRI or your local distributor. Kjetil

Matt: I Guess your scenario is an online scenario. You are not doing Offline work in Collector, are you? Collector is using the Feature Service, and the Feature Service is using the data in the geodatabase. So if you can Query the new data using the Feature Service, then the data is in the geodatabase 🙂 Kjetil

Karen: Been through all this, and I am able to do Offline using Collector. BUT I am only using one single point featureclass, and I only have one layer in my map service. I am using ArcGIS Online, but Portal should work. So try to set up something simple first. Maybe try to create a test featureclass and get that one work. Good Luck! Kjetil

Looks like the map uses a feature service that I don't have access to. Kylie: I have now updated the webmap and operations view. Now you should be able to use it. Using Desktop I do get a count of 48. Using IE as browser, I do get a count of 114 !!! You can also use the layer filter called "Reported", and you will get different counts.

Kylie: I am sorry for not giving you feedback earlier.... Its been crazy busy .... I did test this, but the count is not correct using the browser. In Desktop the count = 20. This is correct. In the browser, the count is = 24. .... I did also add a Layer Filter, and this also do return different counts. You should still have access, because it is shared with the group, and you are still a member of this group. Kjetil
