In configuring the LSL solution, I've been asked by management if answers can be defaulted for our mobile users. For example, the yes/no question about the location being in a disadvantaged neighborhood. Certainly some of the questions may be changed by the mobile worker to reflect actual site information discovered. My problem - when I open the Data Design for the LSL layer, it will not allow me to set a default. Is there a way to change the permissions to allow for setting an answer? Thanks!

In the process of creating an online, public facing Map Request capability. Our water utility regularly receives requests for maps showing our infrastructure for planning and development purposes. The August 31 blog is timely to the designs I had in mind. My suggestion (if it doesn't exist, just now looking at this) is to have a notification summary sent to an email address. It would include the survey information, but also a copy of the area that has been marked for interest. I'm currently trying to do this with a webhook, but it takes a little more knowledge than I have. A baked in option with the Hub survey would be great!

Thanks for the comment, Kevin! It's always my concern that what I'm trying to convey, doesn't come across. Hopefully there were some useful nuggets! Feel free to reach out at anytime. Best regards, Kenny

Hey Brent, We are using Android tablets with the Arrow units. I just went out to the Beta Community site to make sure I hadn't missed something. The email for inclusion will be sent in just a few moments! Look forward to helping test. Thanks! Kenny

Hey Jared, I've not heard from anyone about testing or providing feedback. We have our units set up to capture the Arrow's metadata. Guess I need to go to the Beta site and see if I can register for the Explorer. Kenny

That has been our work around also Patrick. While we are on the subject @brentpierce... 🙂 Not having a scale visible on the tablet really throws our field guys for a loop. When re-locating a point or mid-point on a water main, they don't realize how far they have zoomed in. The marker keeps jumping around, making it seem they are missing the mark, when really they are less than inches off. With the tablets we have, we have figured out a work-around by drawing a line as close to 6 feet as possible. Zoom out until the line is touching each side of the screen. This then provides a relocate accuracy of about 1-4 inches. Is there any way to add a set scale option, or a visible scale. (I also may be missing something that is already in place. I welcome other input!) Thanks!

We are using Android tablets with the Eos Arrow Gold. We have an iPad available if that is the preferred testing platform. Absolutely! We would welcome running the beta through the paces! Let us know what you need.

Discussed this with the developers a couple years ago. Provided the use case for utilities. Frustrating that it's taken this long to add the capability. Looking forward to the next release.

Joe, (Joe Waters) Can you reach out to me via phone or email? I can't help you with the question you have, but it appears you may be doing something I'm trying to accomplish - with your existing workflow. I want to use Collector with a hydrant layer to choose a survey point. With the ability to see the related table information that has been collected for the point previously from Survey123. My hyperlink for opening the survey was going to be in the hydrant layer attribution. BUT it appears you are opening Survey123 from the "view tables" pop-up? I'm curious how you set that up. Thanks in advance for any assistance! My contact info - kratliff@oldhamcountywater.com or 502.222.1690 during business hours. Kenny Ratliff

James, Thanks for your interest! By condition requirement, I'm thinking you mean the desired result? If so, I'm providing for a project manager up to 10 staff information data captures. When a name is selected for the first slot, two more hidden input options present. In this manner, the screen is not cluttered with potentially 30 input options at one time. There is the header information capture options, followed by the staff selections. To avoid a lot of clutter I'm wanting just the header capture followed by 10 staff name drop-downs. The attachment represents what tech support was able to suggest to clean the interface up somewhat. However, the user has to know to open the additional information sections in the begin/end group. Hope that makes sense! Thanks in advance for any input you can offer! Kenny (**Okay - I thought we could insert files here. Not sure a picture will help, but will add.)

When I created a staff list for tracking hours on a field project, I wanted to use the selection from the list of names to then make two further questions visible. According to Esri Support, this is not possible. The relevance statement can do mathematical expressions and key off simple responses such as yes/no. However, it does not have the ability to setup a cascade response if any name is picked from the list. To me this would be solved by adding a wildcard ability to use for the trigger in the relevant statement setup.

KKramer-esristaff - we have communicated direct but I wanted to reply here for anyone reviewing this post content. Thanks for reaching out to dig deeper into this issue. I have made a habit of submitting the crash reports with Pro. Sometimes I do get a little emotional in the description, depending on my frustration level at that moment! However, I do try to give an overview of what was occurring when the issue occurred. Thanks for the two links above regarding the Locate function. Those have been visited and voted up. Knowing that someone at Esri is actively looking at comments, ideas, and discussion (and responding) - I will challenge myself to do better in providing neutral feedback as much as I can. New product roll-out is always a challenge. My goal is to be a contributor to the solution, not just another negative commentator.
