I've got a Python program that has been running continuously for the past 16-18 months that updates a Hosted Feature Layer within our AGOL account. The final "write" portion of the code is data_hold_csv = 'C:\\USGS Live\\HCT - CU\\Clients\\D4_5_Current_Rsvr_Data.csv'#Working file for filter loop src=data_hold_csv dst = data_omid #dst1 = D4_D5_Crrnt_working copyfile(src, dst) #copyfile(src, dst1) gis = GIS("https://www.arcgis.com", "user", "password") print("We're in ...") search_results = gis.content.search('title: D4-5_Current_Rsvr_Data', 'Feature Layer') print("Found what we need ... ") usgs_fs_item = search_results[0] usgs_fs_item print("Past the item ... ") USGS_flayer_collection = FeatureLayerCollection.fromitem(usgs_fs_item) print("Getting ready to overwrite ... ") USGS_flayer_collection.manager.overwrite(data_hold) print("1.5 - Feature Layer D4-5_Current_Rsvr_Data has been updated for ",client) print("") As of 7/14, I began getting the following error: Selected site raw data has been extracted for rwpc We're in ... Found what we need ... Past the item ... Getting ready to overwrite ... I have multiple clients that I work with, but they all utilize the same local base maps from the county. I created a general Base Map that was then placed into the Base Map Gallery through their AGOL accounts. The Base Map itself was a link to the county image server. Worked great until the county changed their image server. How do I either delete and then replace the new link, or get into the current Base Map and just update that link?

While reading through some other threads, a solution that had been posted for a similar post was to clear the cache on your computer. It did take care of my issue, and was able to reconstruct my Base Maps again. Did have to reconstruct some dashboards and queries / filters that went with them, but the Feature Layers no longer gave me issues, and all appeared to function as normal.

Not yet ... several threads in the community are asking the same questions. I've got 1/2 dozen clients using AGOL and only one of them has been affected by whatever is going on.

I've got several feature layers in an existing base map that no longer load into an existing base map. I can pull each one up individually, and have even tried to save them as a new base map to begin anew. Each time, as long as I'm in the editing window where I first pulled the missing feature layer, it shows up just fine. As soon as I save, go out and come back into the web map, it will no longer load. Any suggestions? Most of these layers are shared with field crews through Collector / Field Maps / Survey 123 and have heard no issue from them. Problem appears in the base map where it is then used for Web Map Apps & Dashboards.

I have two Features (Taps which is a point) and Service Lines (which is a poly line). Each has their own individual set of data in the background. Through the "Select by Location", I can identify all Service Lines that are within a given distance of a tap (3 feet). How can I further associate or link each service line to that specific tap. Have almost 3,000 of each so don't want to hunt and peck. Don't see any common features in either table to run a Join on. Any suggestions? Eric

The question is in regard to automatically updating an existing Feature Layer in AGOL. I’ve looked through all the little help screens I can find, but can still find no answer. This is the last section of a bit of code I’ve written to update a Feature Layer. Program pulls FE_Insp from the AGOL account just fine, makes a copy of the file as a csv. It then runs a couple of reports, and then does an overwrite of one field within the CSV (from “Yes” to “No”) … done to reset an inspection form to be used in a web app every month. It will not allow me to re-upload and re-publish the new file. I can go to the site and manually walk through the update portion. It has changed to Append, and now wants a Unique Identifier set (GlobalID) … not a big deal to do manually, but how do I pass that identifier in just this little bit of code? # In[1.1] - FE_Insp ... Access the AGOL Account. gis = GIS("https://www.arcgis.com", userid , password) # In[1.2] ... Search for 'FE_Insp' feature layer collection search_results = gis.content.search('title: FE_Insp', 'Feature Layer') # In[1.3] ... Access the first Item that's returned fh_item = search_results[0] fh_item # In[1.4] ... from arcgis.features import FeatureLayerCollection fh_flayer_collection = FeatureLayerCollection.fromitem(fh_item) # In[1.5] ... call the overwrite() method which can be accessed using the manager property fh_flayer_collection.manager.overwrite('D:\WebApps\OMID\FE_Insp.csv') print("1.5 - Feature Layer FE_Insp has been updated") print("")

It has changed to Append, and now wants a Unique Identifier set (GlobalID or ObjectID) … not a big deal to do manually, but how do I pass that identifier in just this little bit of code? Leaning towards the GlobalID if that would help. # In[1.1] - FE_Insp ... Access the AGOL Account. gis = GIS("https://www.arcgis.com", "user", "password") # In[1.2] ... I've got an automated process started that downloads a Feature Layer Collection from an AGOL account for clean-up and rewrite. Comes down just fine as a CSV but the dates come down as a large number that I can convert using float. I'm unable to come across any way to convert this in Python (3.7) to make it a usable DateTime feature. Can you point me towards a way to accomplish this. Neither of the lines of code below do anything with the number. ndt_value = (datetime.datetime(float(date_value), dateFormat=u'%m/%d/%Y', timeFormat=u'%I:%M:%S %p') ndt_value = time.strptime(float(date_value), "%d %b %y") They all come across looking like this. dte1 dte2 value 1549492620000.0 1549663223992.0 value 1549493100000.0 1549661829963.0 value 1549493220000.0 1554867569006.0 value 1549394280000.0 1554867776915.0

I have a Python script which pulls down a defined json file every 15 minutes or so from a URL, and extracts specific data on 7 sites. I'd love to automatically be able to uploaded this information as it comes in and provide a Dashboard or Web App that would provide my client with the required info on an almost real-time basis. Any suggestions on how this may be done?

I'm needing a little more information on this. I've been through the "Send_Email_Test.xlsx" a few times. Works perfectly on the stand-alone computer in the office. Once I publish it, the Email Text Body window only gets "NaN" published to it. When I attempt to Submit the data in the form, I get a "Failed to submit - Field SendEmail_Request has invalid html content". Here is the SendEmail_Request Email_Body_Text ${SentTo} + "\n" + "\n" + "Actionable Item Detailed Below:" + "\n" + "\n" + "Reference Number: " + ${CallDate} + "\n" + "\n" + "Company Name: " + ${CompanyName} + "Caller: " + ${Caller} + "\n"+ "Address: " + ${SiteAddr} +"\n" + "Phone Number: " + ${CallerPhone} +"\n" +"\n" + "Message: " + ${Message} +"\n" + "\n" + "Thanks," +"\n" +"\n" + ${TakenBy} + "\n" +"\n" Here is the SendEmail_Request concat('<a href="mailto:outdoor.guy@juno.com?&cc=',${EmailNamePass},'&subject=Email App Test&body=',${Email_Body_Text},'">Click to send email</a>') Where might I be missing something that the weblink doesn't like?
