Hi Robert, please, try to use this service as FeatureLayer with the last 3.x API http://geo.serfor.gob.pe:80/geoservicios/rest/services/Prueba/MapServer/4 Im loading an very easy webpage only with a Map and one Service. If a load the page from localhost or from LAN-IP make not a difference. I would be happy with a client side solution for this issue. Best Regards, Cesar Revilla Update: Thank you Robert, it was the same behavior as in 4.x API. (I think it had another problem with my test with the LAN-IP). With an IP or with mache name works perfect. From Localhost or from 127.0.0.1 (Localhost-IP) uses the API HTTPS instead HTTP. solved!

Hi have the same problem. With jsapi version 3.10 works. service info is asked automatically over http. The new versions of the jsapi can only retrieve the layer info over HTTPS. The server is a public server without HTTPS. I cant change it. Its possible to force the new JSAPI 3 to retrieve the date over HTTP and no more over HTTPS? Best Regards, Cesar Revilla

Ok, that means I can instance a Graphic with null Symbol (because all constructors require Symbol). I Would try it. Thank your for your Answer.

Hi, try with this constructor: GenerateGeodatabaseParameters(FeatureServiceInfo featureServerInfo, Geometry geodatabaseExtent, SpatialReference geodatabaseSpatialReference, LayerQueries queries, boolean returnAttachments) You need to specify the Layers you want. It worked for me. Best Regards, Cesar Revilla

Hello, Im trying to set a renderer on a new GraphicsLayer. The GraphicsLayer hat a group of graphics with their own Symbols. The renderer symbol are not applied to this graphics. GraphicsLayer gLayer = new GraphicsLayer(webmercator, projected_extent, GraphicsLayer.RenderingMode.DYNAMIC);
Graphic pointGraphic = new Graphic(point_projected, new SimpleMarkerSymbol(Color.BLUE, 10, CIRCLE));
gLayer.addGraphic(pointGraphic);
SimpleMarkerSymbol simpleMarkerSymbol = new SimpleMarkerSymbol(Color.RED, 20, CIRCLE);
SimpleRenderer simpleRenderer = new SimpleRenderer(simpleMarkerSymbol);
gLayer.setRenderer(simpleRenderer);
mapView.addLayer(gLayer); After addLayer the graphics uses the blue circle symbol instead the renderer with red circles symbol. Thanks for the help and best Regards, Cesar

I think all this solutions are not helpful. Option 1. You can pass all variables between two Activities, but the MapView restarts and all the connected layers reloads the Data. I can't prevent the reload of data in the MapView, I can set the same center, the same leve, the same renderer, etc. as before, but all will reload. Option 2. You can block some restarts with this line, but not all, e.g. Low Memory. Best Regards and thanks, Cesar

Hi, im using a Fragment to show the MapView. I do this because the "device configuration changed" event destroy the MainActivity and I don't want to recreate the wohle App Objects after this event. The new created MainActivity (after the "device configuration changed" event ) can fetch the old Fragment with the MapView, but the original MapView cant be showed in the new Activity. Its needed to create a new MapView (with a new context) and return a new View for the new Activity. Unfortunately the new MapView needs redownload all tiles. Can this behavior be avoided? Can the old MapView object be used with the new Activity? Regards, Cesar

Hi, I want to read the attributes of the Features on a FeatureLayer (snapshot mode) directly after the feature was loaded. But after the feature layer was loaded i found the following problems: if (STATUS.LAYER_LOADED == status && source == feature_layer) { // HIER: count == 0 int count = feature_layer.getNumberOfGraphics(); .... ////ALTERNATIVE // HIER: Throw an exception GraphicsLayer gl = (GraphicsLayer) feature_layer; int[] ids = gl.getGraphicIDs(); for(int id : ids){ Graphic g = gl.getGraphic(id); .... } } where can I insert my code to use the data of the features on layer after they was loaded? Hi, Im using an AGSFeatureLayer with a Definition Expression. My question: It's possible to get the AGSFeatureLayer.fullEnvelope synchronized? After layerDidLoad (AGSLayerDelegate) is the fullEnvelope = nil, there is another delegate that can catch the the layer on an state in witch all features (from the Layer with the Definition Expression) were compleatly loaded? Best Regards, Cesar

Hi Gregg, Esri fixed this problem in ArcGIS Server 10.3 (im not sure about 10.2). In the current Version you can write (insert) "null" in REST and its accepted as NULL in the geodatabase. NaN is not the same as NULL, you can use the String "NaN" in the ReST Service (ArcGIS Server 10.?, im not sure about since) to write a Not a Number in the DB-Field. This is a good workarround for some cases. Regards

The REST API (10.1) ignores the null updates. Here the update string: [{ "geometry":null, "attributes":{ "OBJECTID":683, "STATUS_ID":"371f2a16", "LOAD":0, "VALUE":null, "DESC":""} }] VALUE is nullable and before the update VALUE is equals 20. After a successful update VALUE is still 20. (The FeatureLayr.Fields[Field].nullable is setted to true and the Geodatabase is connected through SDE.) Does anyone know a solution to set a <null> in VALUE? Regards
