Hello, I am working on a animation with a feature with range data. just like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tq4rzFPXwr4&feature=emb_title At the end (02:00) of the video he tells that it is possible to centre your viewport on the feature (so it follows a route, fly along the lines). Anyone know how you do this ? Greetings Peter

Esri NLD helpt me with this question and Esri is going to 'fixing' this tool. they have made a request: ENH-000120948 [Enhancement] Request for the improvement in ‘Import 3D Files’ tool so that a 3D file can be imported at multiple point locations in ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro and put it on 'implemented'. We can see this fix in Arcgis Pro 2.5 For now there are two workarounds Symbolize the layer in ArcGIS Pro Scene using the Categories and 3D Marker Symbol. This should look like the desired output layer - How To: Use 3D shapes as marker symbols in an ArcGIS Pro scene view - https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000016699 Run 'Layer to 3D Feature Class' tool to convert the symbolized 3D layer to Multipatch feature class - https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/tool-reference/3d-analyst/layer-3d-to-feature-class.htm Greetings Peter

Hello, I am looking at the 'Import 3d Tool' but it is not doing what i suspect it must. I have a feature class with 4 point in the feature class there is a field with the name of the model i want to use "tree_1.flt". If i run the tool it only places my 3d model on the first feature in my feature class. Is this correct ? Thank you. Greetings Peter

Hallo, After making a script tool I noticed that the drag and drop from the table of contents (TOC) is not working. It is placing only the name and NOT the path. Can I do something to fix this? arcgisPro 2.1.2 Greetings Peter

Yesterday I got same help from Esri but the script is stil not working on my machine. In fact the delete tool is not working. It runs without error but it is not deleting the feature. The tool and script are working on other computers so Esri could not help anymore. Realy frustrating becouse i have a new HP 640 workstation latest version Windows 10 latest version Arcgis Pro. I spent to much time allready searching if something is locking the features somehow. After the weekend I will delete this question.

In arcgis Pro (2.0.1) i use a file geodatabase. In that gdb i have two feature classes (poly). 1 feature class is empty the other one has 1 feature. Esri support is helping me on this one because something is not right on my end it seams. The same tool is working on there machine. I started a new project and now the tool is not giving me any error but it is not deleting the empty feature. Again if i run the same tool in ArcMap (10.5.1) it runs and deletes the empty feature as it should. If i know more from esri support i let it know

Yes i did see that so the new script is: for fc in listFCs: result = arcpy.GetCount_management(fc) count = int(result.getOutput(0)) if count == 0: arcpy.Delete_management(fc) It is working in Arcmap (10.5.1) but still i got the same error in Arcgis Pro (2.0.1).

Hoi Dan, Thank you for the reply. The Int(result.getOutput(0)) is this the new approach for Pro? I do not understand why this: count1 = str(arcpy.GetCount_management(fc)) if count1 == "0": is not working anymore.

Good Day, I would like to delete empty features in a FGDB. In ArcMap (10.5.1) i used this script and it worked fine. One of the scripts i use is: import arcpy from arcpy import env env.workspace = r"C:\Temp\Test.gdb" listFCs = arcpy.ListFeatureClasses("*") for fc in listFCs: count1 = str(arcpy.GetCount_management(fc)) if count1 == "0": arcpy.Delete_management(fc) In arcgis pro (2.0.1) this scripts is giving my this error: Start Time: zaterdag 9 december 2017 21:22:32 Running script DumpEmptyData... Failed script DumpEmptyData... Traceback (most recent call last): File "F:\GIS_Data\Tools\Python Scripts\DeleteEmptyfields.py", line 21, in <module> count1 = str(arcpy.GetCount_management(fc)) File "c:\program files\arcgis\pro\Resources\arcpy\arcpy\management.py", line 16029, in GetCount raise e File "c:\program files\arcgis\pro\Resources\arcpy\arcpy\management.py", line 16026, in GetCount retval = convertArcObjectToPythonObject(gp.GetCount_management(*gp_fixargs((in_rows,), True))) File "c:\program files\arcgis\pro\Resources\arcpy\arcpy\geoprocessing\_base.py", line 506, in <lambda> return lambda *args: val(*gp_fixargs(args, True)) arcgisscripting.ExecuteError: Failed to execute. Failed at zaterdag 9 december 2017 21:22:33 (Elapsed Time: 0,66 seconds) So the question is why do i get this error. The test above is with a feature called "not_empty_feature". I used the "Analyze tools for pro" tool to analyze the script but it did not give me any errors. Analyze Tools For Pro—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop greetings Peter

Your right i wrongly put this in as a discussion and it meant it as a question although i do not ask it it seems. The question now is how do i change this discussion to a question. For now i will open a question and try to to ask it as clear as possible.
