Faith: I added the hex code and the results show the fields separated on 2 lines but when using the expression in the pop-up, it doesn't show on 2 lines. Am I doing something wrong? Expression: $feature.MINORTYPE+"\x0d\x0a"+$feature.LOCATION Test Result: MINORTYPE LOCATION This is how the pop-up title ends up

Yeah, I'm trying to remember about the Facility Site -- because there are points and polygons. I believe what I remember the most about them was FCODE field. Make sure you aren't looking at the Points! I know that seems silly but I just remember it was difficult. I set up the ParcelPublicAccess for a basemap which is all pointed to the fgdb and OMG, I'm just saying! Until I actually figured out what the hello was going on . . . let me just say, I have a whole lot less hair and quite a few bruises from head banging. Once I figured out what layer they were referencing that I may have named differently in my SDE, then I was able to just bring my SDE feature in and work from there. The road centerlines is what really got me! I had to add fields to mine! You might want to open the template that is looking at ESRI's local government fgdb. Save the symbology as a layer file. Then delete that layer from your map and save it. Then try to bring in your layer from your SDE and use the saved symbology. You may have already tried it but if you did, once you remove the layer and save the map, try deleting your default.mxd (don't forget to just rename it) then reopening the template you are working in. If that doesn't work, let me know, I have a whole bunch of other things you can try!:)

Unlike everyone else, I just went in to the template and fixed the queries, etc. to read the Shape_ST layer. However, after reading some of the solutions, I have my sde export nightly to a fgdb. All readers actually access this db and not the main sde. The fgdb maintains the SHAPE_Length and SHAPE_Area fields. I didn't realize this when I was suffering through the template!

Oh sure, funny! It isn't 1984, is it? I think I found the solution through! Going through some tutorials right now! But it does look like I'll be able to set up the filters to not track during lunch and after work! It's actually kind of scary! Isn't it? George Orwell didn't know how right he was; or did he?

Public Works is supplying all employees with iphones. Director would like to capture gps breadcrumbs for use in analyses -- actual mowing acreage, street sweeper mileage, etc. Any ideas that would allow me to download data from some app (Find My Phone) to server and then be able to create a service for use in operational dashboard or Asset Management map? Thanks

I have a field in an object table that I would like to make a hyperlink. This is a drawing inventory table and the hyperlink would take you to the folder location on the server. Can I do this?

All: Just FYI, I have a script that exported my sde to a fgdb each night and once I began using the attachment tables I started having problems with the export. I found one attachment that was corrupt, and I assure you it wasn't easy! I think I just got lucky after working on this for about 6 months. So, I would say, try to sort your attachment table various ways. I found the one attachment that was causing my headaches to be extremely large. ESRI says that shouldn't make a difference but once I removed it, life was back to normal!

Hi Jennifer: If you can write a script that will just replace updated values in your sde features then you don't have to do anything with your service. So, I have some services that are feature services and some services that point to a file gdb. Every night, a script runs that updates a file gdb with changes in sde. If there have been any schema changes, then all I do is delete the file gdb and the nightly script will replace it. I never have to rebuild my services. Hope this helps.

Are you using Attribute Assistant tools? You can create a new field (FacilityID) then set up the Generate ID table and Dynamic Value table to auto-populate the FacilityID field with the info you are looking for.
