I found the bug. You need to check the "Enable Sync" checkbox under the Feature Layer settings tab (or publish the feature service with the Sync checkbox enabled in the Feature Access settings) to enable editing within the Cost Analysis widget. Hopefully Esri will see this and fix the bug. #beta community

Confirmed -- But I am having the opposite issue. I can check the "editable" checkbox for the project polygon layer, but not for my editable feature layers! I even tried to publish just a single editable point feature service and the "editable" checkbox will not activate. I can edit this feature service in the Web Map with no issues, but when I try to do so via the Cost Analysis tool is does not work. Interestingly enough, if I add an editable feature service that I published several months ago, I can activate the "editable" checkbox, but not for one I published this morning. Too bad because this tool holds a lot of promise.

I found the problem. I am dealing with attributed relationship classes (not standard 1:M) which creates the RID field and relationship class table. Thanks for the help

Hi Wes. Thank you for the reply. I looked at the tool help for make query layer. I don't see how the use of the tool accomplishes a join of 2 feature classes via a relationship class.

I don't understand why you can't join to another feature class that is related via a relationship class? The relationship class is there. I can select a feature and use the Related Tables button from the attribute table and it selects the related feature. So why is the related feature class not presented as a choice when you use the Join command and pick "Join data based on a pre-defined relationship class"? what am I missing?

Geo-Friends: Is there a way to extract attributes from features that are related to other features? My Example: I want to select a set of utility poles and a few attributes from a related streetlight feature class. The streetlights are related via a 1:M relationship class. I would like to append the selected poles to another feature class and also a few attributes from the related streetlight features (Light_type, Wattage, etc). Can this be done? I thought of a join, but when I try this, the defined relationship class for Pole_Streetlight is not in the dropdown for "Join data based on a pre-defined relationship class" why is this?? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Hi all, I have created an Operational view and would like to share it via ArcGIS Online using the Browser view of the dashboard. Is it necessary that my users will need to download and install the desktop Operations Dashboard application in order to see the dashboard via a browser? Thanks, Tim

Is there a way to capture the length of drawn line features in ArcGIS Online? I have the Shape_Length field in my line feature class when I publish the editable feature service, but it does not appear as an attribute in AGOL, nor does it appear when I bring the feature service back into Desktop. Any ideas?

Hey gang- Is there a way to view the image of an attached photo in the pop-up in AGOL? Attached photos merely show up at the bottom of the popup as a link (i.e. - Attachments: photo1.jpg) and then it opens a new browser tab to display the picture. Is there a trick to see the picture right in the popup (like the way Operations Dashboard does)? I know how to do this for an image with a URL by making a field to hold the URL as an attribute, but I don't know the URL of attached photos coming in "live" from the field. Thanks!

Unfortunately, I don't know which transformation to use during the re-projection, there are no suggested transformations listed in ArcMap when doing the export. I see that the Palestine 1923 Grid is based on a Cassini projection and a Clarke_1880_Benoit spheroid, which will come into play with the transformation, but you may need to work with someone at Esri to get some guidance on this. Try changing your dataframe in Desktop to WGS 1984 Web Mercator (auxiliary sphere) and export your feature class to a shapefile or FileGDB, be sure to click "The data frame" when the export window opens. Then open a new .mxd and bring the exported file in so both the feature and the dataframe are set WGS 1984 Web Mercator (aux sphere) and publish the service from there.

Brandon- Not sure of the version, but this was last year - mid 2014. There were some proxy settings that our IT dept. had set that I could not change, but I never got the specifics. Sorry I can't be more help. Tim
