Hi Dan, I found one of your previous posts on another thread which fixed my GP issue last night. The trick was to run copy features before running MakeFeatureLayer, so thanks for that. I've attached a word document which explains what I'm doing. I now have an issue with the AWAB GP tool so will head over there and see if I can find an answer. Appreciate your help, Thanks, Rob.

So I've got this far, but a broken link when the result is added to the display in ArcGIS Pro... import arcpy long = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0) lat = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(1) point = arcpy.Point(float(long), float(lat)) loc = arcpy.PointGeometry(point) locfeatures = r"memory\locfeatures" arcpy.MakeFeatureLayer_management(loc, locfeatures) arcpy.SetParameter(2, locfeatures)

Hi Dan, I see that but it requires a table as input? I want to publish two strings as parameters so the user is prompted for the X and Y, otherwise they have to create a table in something like excel? Congrats on your retirement and thanks for taking the time to help. Rob

How can I create a point from two projected coordinates? I want to take two strings as input (X and Y) and then create a geometry at that point, re-project to WGS84 and add the result to the map? The reason I am doing this is to publish as a GP service to consume in an AWAB application via the GP widget. Sounds easy, but stuck at creating the point! Any pointers appreciated 🙂

The button colours for the category selector seem to be hardwired to blue? Can these be changed to match the rest of the theme?

This is very restrictive and limiting the uptake of Insights across the enterprise. Ideally need to be able to work with feature services published to ArcGIS Server.

Yep, agree with the comments above. The change in beta is an enhancement but would like a richer implementation. Would be nice to be able to move anywhere, resize and toggle on and off leader lines.

Hi Bruce, how can I do it by editing the feature class? Ideally I would select all features and then enter a rotation angle?

Hi Jamal, Very much agree, sadly a slow and frustrating app despite a lot of hard work that has gone into it. We actually had a call with the Esri dev team about a year ago on this but it was so inconsistent when our support guy demo’d it, it worked ok - probably because he had spent a few hours browsing everything in advance of the call so it didn’t go any further. I think we have to remember dev work on pro probably started 10+ years ago, remember when the ribbon was the hot new thing (12 years ago in Office 2007!), so although new to many users it’s actually quite a mature application. Maybe they have a new app in the oven? Good Luck, Rob

I have one point feature class and one polyline feature class in a projected coordinate reference system. How can I rotate these feature classes by a number of degrees? For example, rotate all features in the feature class through 90 degrees so what did face north now faces east? The polylines and point feature class represent the outline of an oil rig and I would like to rotate the feature classes to match the rig orientation in the real world.

agree, we would like to be able to enter projected coordinates in the search box. It should be a layer setting (enable projected coordinate search) that then honours coordinates in the data frame CRS if enabled.

Hi, Is there any relation between Cedar capabilities and Insights for ArcGIS? I see Radar plots are possible in Cedar and really need the functionality in Insights. Any idea if and when we could expect radar charts in future? Kind Regards, Rob

What might an alternative be? Each point on the circumference of the plot is an attribute field, we have about 10 points/attributes. When features are selected on the map, we want the attribute values for each feature mapped on a radar plot, so two features would give two concentric lines on the radar plot allowing us to identify outliers? Any ideas on other supported chart types we could use? Kind Regards, Rob

Im using AWAB hosted in AGOL, making use of the new ops dashboard widgets, layout. Is there a widget to display anRSS feed? Would be useful if news could be geocoded to against other layers in a web map. I'd like to display a news feed along side the map Cheers, rob
