default is now but I suppose it wasn't. Funny how the simplest things cause such frustration! Thanks again for your help

Hi Xander, I think the coordinate system is ok; all other data is displaying & behaving correctly. Attached is a screen grab - I used the circle tool and drew a circle; when I finish the handles are visible but not the circle. thanks.

No they don't work in new map. I gave your suggestion a try - renamed normal.mxt and restarted - same problem .

My 'Draw' toolbar won't work in Data view. The tools appear to work, but are invisible when they actually draw and I can't select and access the properties. Any suggestions on how to fix? They do however, work in Layout view...Thanks!

Hi Oscar, I'm having the same problem; however, I'm not using basemap from ArcGIS online but my own tiled cache. I've tried WGS84 Web Merc and NAD 83 and get the same issue. It's not projected correctly in Mobile Project Centre but oddly enough, the basemap appears to work on the field device (YUMA). I'm sorry I don't have a solution. Cheers

You may want to look at ArcGIS for Windows Mobile; works with rugged tablet or other disconnected device and I don't think it requires ArcGIS server or AGOL. I haven't used much but it might work for your organization.

Hi there, I've been successfully using Collector to collect data (disconnected) for a couple of weeks now. Yesterday a new error popped up when I tried to submit a point. I get the same error for all features in the map. It says 'Error The geometry cannot fall outside the replica extent'. I've tried a few different things; resaving and syncing map with wider extent but with no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks Rebecca UPDATE: The problem can be solved by going to 'Item Details' of map; 'Edit'; 'Properties' and then choose Set Extent. This allows you to change the extent of the map; resave and reload to mobile device.

Yes, I can collect a feature with connected editing; it's just when I take the map 'disconnected' that one of the feature classes is missing. The feature is showing as 'checked' in the 'layers' menu; but doesn't actually show up when I check the collect feature option. thanks.

I was testing out disconnected editing today (Collector 10.2.2 on Android device) and am not able to collect a new feature for one of the two feature classes that were part of the feature service in my map. I can edit existing points and see the layer as 'turned on' in a disconnected session, but am not able to collect a new feature. Any ideas on how to fix? Thanks.
