I figured it out. When you run the ArcGIS authorization utility, it shows you the Authorization Number (ECPXXXXXXXXX) number that it reads from the provisioning file. The problem was that, by default, the utility was reading the wrong Authorization Number from the provisioning file. It was reading the Image Server Authorization Number to authorize Server instead of the Server Standard Authorization Number. Once my GIS POC sent me the screenshot showing the two different numbers, I realized what was happening and changed the ECP number to match Server instead of Image Server.

i found this post where it says to check the version.json file. That file told me it had not been updated so I followed the rest of the directions to restart the Continue Upgrade process. That process completed but my services are still missing.

Hello! I just finished upgrading my Enterprise (Portal and Server) to 10.6.1 from 10.5.1. Everything seemed to install smoothly but my services are now missing. I can't see them in ArcCatalog or Server Manager. I cleared my browser cache and rebooted the hosting server (single-machine) but didn't help. Like an idiot, I didn't back up my site before the upgrade. I backed up Portal but not Server Please help! Thank you!

Daniel, your solution worked! I'm so glad you responded because I would never have thought of this solution. I am logged into the system as an admin, why would I have to Run As Administrator?! Thanks again!

Hello, all! I am trying to use the configureserviceaccount utility located in the tools directory to change the Portal for ArcGIS Account for Portal 10.5.1. The service account is currently the default arcgis local account. I am trying to change it to an Active Directory service account. I have verified this domain account is enabled and active by logging into our network with it. So I'm pretty sure the service account and password are good. Using the help, I found that the tool to perform this task is the configureserviceaccount utility, a command line tool. In the command prompt window, I navigate to the C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\tools\ConfigUtility\ folder and attempt to execute the following command: configureserviceaccount --username [mydomain\username] --password [mypassword] --writeconfig [myfolder\filename] Here are the errors I get when I run the tool: Failed to determine the state for service: Portal for ArcGIS. Failed in setting directory permissions for: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\ plus seven more errors like the one above, but for 7 of the subfolders under C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Portal\ Any assistance would be most appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you so much, Randall! The ArcGIS Online Assistant is exactly what I needed. I was surprised it worked since our Portal is behind a firewall but it did. I had to use to AOA tool that allows you to directly edit the JSON config file in order for the layer ref numbers to actually "stick". They REALLY didn't want to change! Thanks again for the help! This tool is a life-saver!

Hi! I have a web map issue that I cannot figure out. I have a MXD that I have published as a single feature mapping service that contains 10 or so different SDE layers. This feature mapping service is used in a web map. Everything was working great until I tried re-ordering some of the layers in the feature mapping service. The feature mapping service itself updated correctly. My issue is that now my web map that uses this feature mapping service is not picking up this change and now the web map queries the wrong attribute table when you click/query a feature in the web map. How can I fix the web map's internal pointers to the layers in the feature mapping service? Simply dragging them up and down in the web map doesn't fix the attribute table problem. I don't want to delete and recreate the web map because I will lose all the custom filters, popups, visibility scales, etc. that I have built into the web map. I tried deleting and recreating the feature mapping service- didn't help. Thank you in advance for your help!
