@JeanPIERRON @MAYUR2812 Apologies for the delay on this topic. Unfortunately support for feature clustering in ArcGIS Runtime SDKs has been delayed. We currently plan to introduce in 2023. Granted, it will be introduced in the new 200.x set of releases. A couple links of interest: ArcGIS Runtime plans for 2022 and beyond; this discusses the next major release of ArcGIS Runtime, 200.x: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/runtime-sdk/announcements/arcgis-runtime-in-2022-and-beyond/ Introducing the ArcGIS Maps SDKs; this discusses how ArcGIS Runtime SDKs have been renamed ArcGIS Maps SDKs. What's import here is feature clustering will be introduced in the ArcGIS Maps SDKs for Native Apps (previous known as ArcGIS Runtime SDKs) during the 200.x set of releases: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/developers/announcements/introducing-the-arcgis-maps-sdks/ So, as an Android developer, you should expect to see support for feature clustering in a 200.x release of the ArcGIS Maps SDK for Kotlin in 2023.

Hi Tom, Thanks for the write-up and video showing the issue. A couple questions: 1) Once the basemap is shown at full extent, if you back out of the map and reopen again, does it honor the initial viewpoint? Just curious if once the viewpoint is not honored, it remains so. 2) If you use a basemap that does not require an API Key, do you see the same issue? This is just for testing, not for production. 3) Are you creating a new MapView and Map each time you open a trip - or just a new Map? Thanks -Rex

@Jan-Tschada We are still considering how to deliver a Runtime product for use in a service as it is a very popular request. Most of those requests center on workflows to support feature serialization, editing, and use of geometry engine operations. This request appears to include authentication and use of tasks (eg geoprocessing task) to access ArcGIS service endpoints. Sounds reasonable. It may take some time, but we'll start moving on this in 2022 to assess technical and business viability.

Thanks for adding this idea. We do not have any current plans to support Blazor, but we're always open to new opportunities. Feel free to enhance this idea with use cases and business requirements to help us prioritize this need going forward.

The 100.11.2 patch release of ArcGIS Runtime SDKs for Android, iOS, Java, .NET, and Qt is now available and resolves the following issues: BUG-000140552: Deleting an attachment on the client and applying edits does not delete the attachment on the server after the attachment is fetched via ServiceFeatureTable. BUG-000140772: Applying edits on a ServiceFeatureTable fails against ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1 with the error “Geodatabase item not found.” BUG-000140778: KmlNode BalloonContent has incorrect formatting that causes image links to be broken when viewed in a Popup. [Qt SDK only] BUG-000139861: iOS apps rejected from App Store with the error “ITMS-90426: Invalid Swift Support.” [Qt SDK only] BUG-000140614: IdentifyGraphicsOverlayResult.graphicsOverlay returns null. Some ArcGIS Runtime products have already released a 100.11.1 patch to fix issues specific to an SDK. To keep the version numbers aligned for all ArcGIS Runtime SDKs, the version of this release is 100.11.2. The 100.11.2 patch is complete (not an overlay) and cumulative, so any fixes in a 100.11.1 patch are included or superseded in the 100.11.2 patch. The 100.11.2 patch follows the support lifecycle for ArcGIS Runtime 100.11 defined on the Esri Technical Support web site. For more details see the release notes for Android, iOS, Qt, .NET, and Java. To get 100.11.2, go to the ArcGIS Developers web site, browse the ArcGIS Runtime SDK page of your choice and download the SDK. You can also reference the SDK through NuGet, Gradle, Swift Package Manager, or CocoaPods.

Good feedback. Unfortunately there are no specific plans to deliver geospatial capabilities in Rust at the moment. A couple notes: It appears you've logged a related issue on the Developer ideas site: https://community.esri.com/t5/developers-ideas/offer-a-webassembly-sdk-for-rust-c-and-net-blazor-development/idi-p/1005474 That's a good place to start... and drum up support as well. From a geometry operations perspective, an open source version of the geometry engine is available in Java: https://github.com/Esri/geometry-api-java This opens up an opportunity for the community to port to a Rust implementation. For ArcGIS Runtime specifically, we are seriously considering support for use in a service/server context. This would likely be a streamlined version of Runtime, geometry engine, feature serialization, query and edit operations (no visual map or scene generation).

I believe the ArcGIS API for JavaScript already supports WebAssembly. For plans relating to the Web App Builders specifically, probably best in inquire in the ArcGIS Web App Builder community: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-web-appbuilder/ct-p/arcgis-web-appbuilder With respect to ArcGIS Runtime: No plans a native developer experience with JavaScript (eg React Native) at the moment. The Qt Company's SDKs do support WebAssembly, and our ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Qt team has investigated, but we have no plans to deliver support for WebAssembly at the moment. Behind the scenes the geometry engine in Runtime is available in the ArcGIS API for JavaScript via a WebAssembly implementation. Feel free to add a new idea or enhance an existing idea for ArcGIS Runtime: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-runtime-sdks-ideas/idb-p/arcgis-runtime-sdks-ideas

No specific plans to integrate knowledge graphs in ArcGIS Runtime at the moment, but we are keeping an eye on how they surface within the ArcGIS system. Ideally, they surface through a specification (eg REST, webmap, mobile map, etc) where we can build out functionality to access and use. If you have use case in mind, this may be a good addition to the ArcGIS Ideas board: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-runtime-sdks-ideas/idb-p/arcgis-runtime-sdks-ideas

Hi Siva, Access to S-63 encrypted ENC data in Runtime is only available through .NET - WPF at the moment. An S-63 extension is available upon request - see details here: https://developers.arcgis.com/net/latest/wpf/guide/display-electronic-navigational-charts.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_340A28CCFAD4414989F671FF202C85C0

Indeed, we've been working on game engine integration for a while so good to see it announced - and demonstrated exceptionally well Best place to stay up to date on our game engine work is the ArcGIS for Game Engines beta program: https://esriurl.com/a4ge It's a public opportunity, just need to fill out a survey to get in. The first set of beta deliverables should be available early Q3 2020. Also, we originally had a Dev Summit tech session on our developer offerings for game engines, but as Dev Summit was cancelled, we now intend to host as a webinar in early April. We'll provide updates/details on these upcoming events to those in the beta program.

Hi Michael, Yes, unfortunate about the cancellation of the event as we also look forward to discussions about current and future Runtime work. 1) We are working on Metal support at the moment. It should be introduced with the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for iOS with 100.8. It will be delivered with iOS support in the Runtime SDKs for .NET and Qt after 100.8. When support for Metal is included, OpenGL will not longer be supported. This will prevent use of the AGSMapView and AGSSceneView in the Xcode simulator, unless the following requirements are met: - Xcode 11 - Catalina (macOS 10.15) - app targets iOS 13 2) Yes, we're working on better location enablement in Runtime in the latter half of this year (100.9 in Aug, 100.10 in Dec). This includes support for high accuracy GNSS (position correction information from GNSS, access number of satellites, etc). It also includes better information about the current location (eg notification about location changes), additional location sources (eg indoor positioning), and geofencing. 3) Support for mesh network radios is still in the near term backlog for Runtime, but not yet scheduled for a release in 2020. 4) There are no specific plans at the moment to record or host a virtual Road Ahead session for Runtime. Feel free to reach out via GeoNET, your account manager, or tech support if you have questions. Keep in mind, all information I have presented above is subject to change. Thanks -Rex

Thanks Jean, Apologies, support for clustering is taking longer than expected, however, we do plan to deliver in 2020. To provide consistent support across the ArcGIS platform, we intend to target support for clustering (client) and binning (server) with respect to feature layers. Client side clustering will follow a map centric approach: featureReduction_cluster | ArcGIS for Developers Configure clustering—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation Binning will focus on a service centric approach, more specifically, binning as a new functionality delivered with map services published from ArcGIS Pro 2.4 and later to ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7.1: Aggregate features into bins—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation Incidentally, you should see support for clustering/binning coming in ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.x in 2020 as well. We are on a similar timeline with respect to this feature. Hope this helps, -Rex
