Hi All, I have a large geodatabase (700mb) that when the featurelayer is loaded into the map within my UWP application, whenever I try to clear it from memory (clear the UserControl in which it is housed) the application hangs. I've tried nullifying the layers, nulling the map and the MapView, and removing the layers from the map collection. any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi All, We have been provided multiple .tpk basemaps for different sections of the map, as its very large and we are attempting to use tablets, meaning only relevant sections of the map will be loaded onto the tablet. So each "region" of the map has been given to us in a .tpk file. This works fine when adding just one section of the map onto the mapview, I'm wondering if adding the second section as a different ArcGISLocalTiledLayer will work, such as this?: var MapSection1 = new ArcGISLocalTiledLayer(@"ms-appx:///Assets/OSBasemapPackage.tpk"); var MapSection2 = new ArcGISLocalTiledLayer(@"ms-appx:///Assets/OSBasemapPkgEastCentral.tpk"); MapSection1.ID = "mp1"; MapSection2.ID = "mp2"; MyMap.Layers.Add(MapSection1); MyMap.Layers.Add(MapSection2);

Hi, Tried using that method of calling the files, still nothing, code at the moment is this: public MainPage() { this.InitializeComponent(); //adding layer to map var bkgLayer = new ArcGISLocalTiledLayer(@"ms-appx: \Assets\OSBasemapPackage.tpk"); bkgLayer.ID = "MainLayer"; MyMap.Layers.Add(bkgLayer); } Note: Also used forward slashes in directory path.

Hi, We have given up on using the random machines that don’t seem to want to display maps, but now we have another problem! We created a WPF project using the custom TPK map absolutely fine, however I’m now using a Windows Store App blank project. I tried using the same code behind: public MainPage() { this.InitializeComponent(); //adding layer to map Layer bkgLayer = new ArcGISLocalTiledLayer(@"Assets\OSBasemapPackage.tpk"); bkgLayer.ID = "MainLayer"; MyMap.Layers.Add(bkgLayer); } Which worked fine within WPF, however this time we just get a grey map. Can you see anything wrong with the syntax? We have tried multiple directories however it doesn’t throw any errors on build/pre-build. Thanks

I think the image was just my email signature attaching itself for some reason or another, and I'm currently installing the SDK on our dev area to log the firewall.

We have also tried creating a solution on a working computer to a non-working computer, and that worked 50% of the time.

The layers all seem to function apart from when it comes to actually showing the map, I get a grey screen with the esri watermark in the bottom left. This is the case in both WPF and windows store.

The SDK seems to install fine, we use visual studio professional 2013. The app will allow the reference to be added, along with the mapview, map, and then the tile for the world map within the hello world tutorial, however on build using the simulator we get a grey screen where the map should be on 2/4 developer machines.

Hi all, We have a problem where when downloaded and installed, the SDK will only show the hello world map/function on 2 of the machines. They are all fresh installs of visual studio and all on the same network with the same permissions. We have tried using a local map source also. They are all replica machines with the same hardware and are fairly new. Any ideas would be appreciated thanks.

Antti Kajanus With that code I either get a error if i change up the file path, or when it is accepted a grey screen I've tried storing on D:\ drive, and in the project file (local), both to no avail if it makes a different, even trying to use the hello world shows a grey screen. Thanks for the help

Hi All, I'm trying to go about Opening a TPK file (which works fine in WPF), but in a windows store app, and can't find a way how, and very very little resources online. I've got the Map view with a map set up in a grid with XAML and code behind that *SHOULD* assign the TPK to the map, but I just get a grey screen. I'm using the ArcGIS SDK for .NET, Any help would be well recieved, Thanks
