Might be worth trying another browser - I've seen issues like this in IE which I thought might be down to security policy settings. With Firefox all was ok.

I think you'll need to edit the ExportWebMapForm.mxml of the Print Widget. Looking at that file it has a layoutOptions component but no exportOptions: <fx: Declarations> <esri:PrintTask id="printTask" executeComplete="printTask_executeCompleteHandler(event)" fault="printTask_faultHandler(event)" getResultDataComplete="printTask_getResultDataCompleteHandler(event)" getServiceInfoComplete="printTask_getServiceInfoCompleteHandler(event)" jobComplete="printTask_jobCompleteHandler(event)" showBusyCursor="true"/> <esri:PrintParameters id="printParameters" format="{formatsDDL.selectedItem}" layoutTemplate="{layoutTemplatesDDL.selectedItem}" map="{hostBaseWidget.map}" preserveScale="{scaleCheckbox.selected}"> <esri:layoutOptions> <esri:LayoutOptions id="layoutOptions"/> </esri:layoutOptions> </esri:PrintParameters> </fx: Declarations> So: 1. add the exportOptions declaration 2. add a drop down box with dpi options to the widget interface 3. add the code to populate exportOptions similar to existing code for layoutOptions i.e. layoutOptions.title = txtTitle.text; Build your widget, add to test Flex app and I'd be expecting dpi to be passed across in the request to the printing service. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-api/apiref/com/esri/ags/tasks/supportClasses/ExportOptions.html Alternatively it's not too difficult to pass dpi as a custom parameter from the printing widget to a service based on the advanced printing Python script, and then insert that value into the resolution parameter of the ExportToPdf task: http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/main/10.1/index.html#//00s300000027000000

My understanding is that when using move edits to base the edits stay in the adds and deletes tables only during the edit session, and at the end of the session they are automatically written to the base table. Perhaps try viewing the adds and deletes table during the edit session, that is, before they are written to base?

Perhaps try to run the tool from the GP service's REST endpoint: if it fails here, examine the GP service. If it succeeds, the problem is in your client app. You might also want to look at client logs (I believe this is available in the latest Flex release) and ArcGIS Server logs.

If you haven't fixed it yourself yet - it might be worth retrying with Firefox. I've had issues when using Internet Explorer, possibly due to security policy. Otherwise you will have to provide more information about the exact steps you are taking. And is there anything in the server logs?

Well I guess this might be a bit late now, but anyway: 1. Your client application (presumably either Flex, JSAPI or Silverlight) needs to access ArcGIS Server services, which you are exposing through the web adaptor. The client app runs in a browser on a user's machine, and is not therefore local to web01 when it is running - so how is the app supposed to resolve a localhost URL on a user's machine? It needs a working URL to ArcGIS Server services, which in your case is going to be: http://web01/arcgis/rest/services So I think that URL is correct 2. At least one of (default) ports 6080/6443 always needs to be accessible - the web adaptor talks to either or both of those ports depending on your SSL settings 3. The web adaptor just routes requests from IIS to ArcGIS Server. You can keep everything (MXDs, source data, cached maps) on app01, so at a high level the process is something like: a. Web adaptor receives request from client app b. Web adaptor routes request to ArcGIS Server c. ArcGIS Server parses request and retrieves cached tiles from disk accordingly d. ArcGIS Server streams response tiles back to web adaptor e. Web adaptor streams response back to client app
