Hi All, I have a javascript application that is within ASP.Net container and using Forms authentication (with backend database) to authenticate user. Only authenticated users have access to the ASP.NET page containing the map. I am not sure how to setup access to a secure service and what would be the best way. I have application based security so that only authenticated users can login and go to the page containing the map (as described above) but how to implement security to access secured services from ArcGIS server. i have gone through documents and have come across few things, however am not sure which is best way. Is using token based security is best open, if yes then how can I generate tokens and provide access to the user from within the application (map page) without any login boxes. Do I need to setup a proxy page that can run on webserver and basically re-direct all calls to the secure services by adding the credential information onto each request. It will great help if someone can point me to the right direction. Thanks

Thanks I already had tried that but it doesn't work for the custom python addin, maybe it is version issue, the toolbar is done using C# and targeted for minimum version 10 whereas the python addin had been done using version 10.2. Thanks

Hi All, I have a strange problem. Whenever I include require(['esri/tasks/IdentifyParameters','esri/tasks/IdentifyTask'], the maps stop loading in Google chrome but all seems to work fine in IE8+. Any idea what could be the cause? Thanks

Hi, I have a feed that i am loading in from an external source and it working well. However i have just noticed that when i pan the map, the features drawn are moving as the map moves, it ends up with looking bad. While looping through the feed source, i am getting all the data and adding graphics dynamically to a graphic layer which after the loop i am adding to the map. Works fine. However as described above the pan causes the feed graphics to move or feel like jumping as the background map is panned. Any ideas on what causes this behaviour. I am using IE8 Regards

HI All, I have my map placed within a div <div id="mapContainer"> <div id="mapDiv" dojotype="dijit.layout.ContentPane" region="center" style="height:100%; width:100%"></div> </div> The mapContainer is itself within a jQuery ui tab widget. The map re sizes itself when browser size is changed without any extra code in FF however in IE8, the map does not resize itself. I have tried various suggestions including one from the guidelines but nothing seems to work. Any ideas? dojo.connect(dojo.byId('mapDiv'), 'resize', function(extent) { map.resize(); }); Moving the map div under the body tag and not within any widget or any other tags fixes the issue, but i do want to use the tab widget. Thanks

Hi, I am developing a map application with some widgets and in my case, I am trying to dynamically create some nodes as required by a jquery widget. It works fine in IE8,FF etc however the DOM structure is not created for IE7 or maybe it is but not picked up by the jquery widget.
var node=domConstruct.create('div');
dojo.place(node,'list',0)
// and more nodes and sub nodes dynamically added.
Any ideas.

If you are using ARC then you should create property with 'strong' keyword. in .h file @property (nonatomic, strong) AGSIdentifyTask *task; in .m file @synthesize task; self.task=[[AGSIdentifyTask alloc]initWithURL:petroURL]; Regards, Nimesh That worked!!! Thanks alot

It's not getting any result because AGSIdentifyTask is getting released. Create a retain property for "AGSIdentifyTask *task" and then try. Regards, Nimesh As i am using ARC i am getting an error while using
[task retain]
I thought that using alloc, there is not need to retain. Thanks

I know that related table data cannot be displayed in Flex pre3.0 but has it changed in new version of 3.0. It seems to be a big limitation not being able to show 1:M relationships. I have got a workaround that uses two queries but would like to know if the query can contain joins. Thanks
