Hi, I managed to solve this by work around of using “Mosaic to new raster“ tool where we can give MATCH option, can keep .CLR file (Color remap file) in same folder where we are generating output file. And for miscellaneous issue can reverse the sequence of input raster’s (which I had to) and generate the required image file. - Sandip

Dear Experts, I am facing issue while using ESRI Tool => Add Raster to Mosaic dataset. Here I have two different dataset of Raster to which I want to merge into single data set by keeping to color symbology different for 2 attribute data after merging. Accordingly I have 2 different "Value" i.e. 1 & 2 for the both the raster dataset (I checked this in Arccatalog - preview attribute panel. Also we have .clr file present in the path where output raster is getting created. However after merging raster dataset I am getting only one single raster dataset. This I am getting realized while doing further operation of Spatial Analyst Tool: Reclassify. Like after selecting this input raster in reclassify I am getting only one data value in section Old Value and New value. So seems like either one data set is getting either excluded while merging or some parameter is configured correctly to get the right thing. Please refer data attached image where 2 different raster data set are shown which are inputs I am using to mosaic. Kindly suggest in case any solution/any option missing in mosaic/any bugs in toolbox here... Thanks in advance! Sandip

Dear All, I am using ArcGIS 10.2 desktop. We are having direct connection with Oracle 11gR2 using .sde file. This connection was working well from long back. But just from last couple of days we are facing some issue while making connection from ArcCatalogue/ArcMAP using .sde file. Like when i click on.sde file (which was working perfect before) for Oracle DB connection (or even while making connection as Right click on Sde file > connection Properties > filling proper details >ok ), Catalogue get closes without any error alerts or warning. Oracle is getting connected properly from ouside like from Toad, SQLPLUS etc. Even when we are opening MXD files which are having inbuilt connection with the same database, ArcMap get closes automatically before opening that files. (ArcMap working properly for files without DB connections, new files creation etc.) Here seems like some issue with Oracle connections to ArcGIS gateway but not sure what parameter I need to check to resolve this issue.

Hello, I am working on ArcGIS Server 10.x with Oracle 11gR2. I want to find the concurrent user connection made through ArcGIS Server Web users from either Oracle (As users are making connections to Oracle datastore while hitting every query though Web) or from ArcGIS Server. If I can find User names will be great but finding counts of currently connected user will also be fine. I tried finding this V$session Oracle dictionary but not getting exact picture. Please help. Many Thanks in advance. SS

Thanks a lot Marco & Vince. Finally along with the spatial database connection, I could generate the Metadata (Geodatabase schema details, object class, etc.) report using Geodatabase Reporter extension as well. It will really help us in next migration. Warm regards, Sandip

Thanks Vince. I am able to make the connection now 🙂 Just uncommented the string and started the services using sdemon. Now moving on next step to make export metadata, relationship class. Would welcome the any steps & tips on this 🙂 Marco, Thanks for the comments. But let's not discuss the sensitive data/policies of company. May be my mistake of publishing non-required things here.

yes data is exists in the system. And our interest is to take export of existing built metadata, relationships and import into new version. This will really help us to build new metadata and do the further enhancements. But then if i go with "esri_sde 5151/tcp" port then will it be possible to gain the connection? And what about the other impact? at which other part should I do these changes? Or else for temporary purpose I can uncomment this port and then after exporting the metadata i can restore this port? is that okay? Also is this a only thing or any other steps i need to do? Thanks for your quick responses....

Thanks for your response. Yes, if i understood your concern correctly then, I want to connect it with application server service only. Like here I am having ArcCatalog installed on Windows 2000 Server through which I want to connect ArcSDE-Oracle database which resides on unix machine. For port number, when i see in services.sde like below, currently default (esri_sde) is commented. #esri_sde 5151/tcp bcxo2t 1521/tcp What are the impact or changes on existing work if i uncomment and use default? or can I use 1521/tcp in services here? ofcourse I tried this and its giving me an error of "....operation failed"

Yes its very true Vangelo, But currently we are working on this legacy system and planned to import this data on upgraded version on ArcGIS 10 and Oracle 11g. So need this information deadly for migrating the data. Let me know if anyone can help here.
