Hey, Grant, I found this write-up as it is the same error that I'm receiving and then realized that you wrote it! This is becoming very frustrating! If you found a work-around let me know. I am now exporting to a shape file instead of a GDB and working fine!

I'm new at this hardware back-end stuff, so please pardon my naivity! I was told that to use ArcServer we would need to install a SQL Server license as well, which is high priced. I thought the ArcServer took care of the database management as it does in ArcGIS Desktop, but I can't assume - I just need someone to verify if this is true or not? We don't have our ArcServer on a stable platform to really work with it yet so we're all on the learning curve. Thanks much! Sherrie

I am trying to import a zipped polygon (just one) to do some analysis. However, anything I try is giving me errors and it will not import. My shapefile is not projected as it is an elementary school jurisdiction (not a district). There is only a .dbf, .shp, and .shx. Could that be the problem that it is not projected? Every time I zip the folder with the 3 files in it there's an additional folder that appears inside that I remove, or it gives me an error to check for any additional subfolders. That I have taken care of but I'm still not able to import. Here's the error: Can't read Shapefile due to server communication errors: Unable to extract shapefiles from zip. Please make sure there are no subfolders within the zipped file and try again. The file I'm trying to upload is attached. Thanks!

Thank you very much, Jason! I'm at a disadvantage as I work with ArcInfo and we also have the online version of Business Analyst, but I don't have access to it. I can only request reports which makes it difficult to get answers to these types of questions! This is perfect and I now have the help section in my favorites. Sincerely, Sherrie

I am conducting a ring analysis of 25 miles of a point. The aggregations are way off, by 33%, compared to the Census Bureau employment numbers at the same radii. I assume it has to do with the geographic aggregation level, but I can't find the documentation that states how a ring analysis is aggregated. Can anyone help? Is it by tract or block group???? Thanks much! Sherrie

I've upgraded to 10, in spite of my reservations, and I've installed the service pack, but yet I keep running into strange errors. I've been able to geocode using a NAVTEQ address locator without a problem until yesterday. All of a sudden I'm getting the error, "Failed to connect to database. An underlying database error occurred. System resource exceeded." when I try to "add" the NAVTEQ locator. My address locator is fine and my machine is well within the computing requirements and I have plenty of RAM etc. so I'm at a loss as to what else to do. Anyone have any ideas?
