I have a service with about 5k points. I'm trying to figure out what's the best way to find the nearest point to a set of coordinates. I don't have a network analyst service that I can call. Is there something in the SDK that could help me solve this problem?

I notice you create points manually. In my case the points are in a layer on the ArcGIS server. Is there a way to iterate through that?

When we receive an incident request, we need to find the nearest facility to that address. By the time we go to search, we have already converted the address to a set of coordinates. I have a layer with my facilities. What's the best way to find the nearest facility using the runtime SDK for QT.

We've developed an application using the Runtime SDK with QT. We have a new requirement to allow users to draw areas on the map. We've seen a few examples using C# and JavaScript, unfortunately we've not been able to find an example using C++ and QT. They need the ability to draw freehand and also by clicking points and have it auto close the shape. From other examples I've seen we need to have a FeatureService that will allow editing, but getting the map to accept clicks as points for a polygon has me puzzled.

I have a map service hosted locally on my ArcGIS server with the location of all the fire hydrants in my city. I want to know if there's a way to find the nearest hydrant to the location I click on the map. Or to search for a hydrant within 50 meters.

That might be the best way to do it. I've never made the text rounded like that. Any examples you can throw my way would be great. Thanks

I have a location that I'm placing on a map. I'm drawing a circle around it show the size of the area covered. Is there a way to make the edge of the circle display the size say 500 meters. I'm trying to do this in 10.2.7, but I'm going to need to do it in 100.6 as well.

James, Thank you for replying. After the graphic is identified, do we just change the geometry for the identified graphic and that's it, or do we then have to add it back to the overlay? The workflow is muddy in my mind.

I'm looking for an example that shows how to modify the location of a graphic. Say I added 50 graphics, and later on I need to modify 5. Is there a way to update just the 5 or do I have to clear the layer and add them all back in.

I need to be able to determine if the point the user is clicking in resides in a service layer hosted on an internal ArcGIS server. I'm using .net runtime 10.2.7.

Tried blowing out the cache and still seeing the same. If the 304s are not the reason, what could be?

I'm assuming that's the case as I just opened the app and browsed to a random place I hadn't browsed to.

We're experiencing a situation where the tiles for our basemap are not all coming through right away. When we run wireshark, we notice there are lots of 304 returns from the network proxy. Is there a way to force the requests not to be cached? Are we able to change the timeouts so that tiles can be re-requested when the 304 returns? We are using .net runtime 10.2.7

Do all Qt based applications that use the Runtime SDK require a GUI? I need a workhorse that will return spatial information about resources without displaying them.
