Dear Darren, I just want to let you know that your code is working good. I do not know why I had error before. I just changed output raster directory rather than default, it works perfectly. Thanks for your code. P.S Do you know why I had the error if I used "default directory"?

Unfortunately, I got an error as below: ERROR 000539: Error running expression: rcexec() Traceback (most recent call last): File "<expression>", line 1, in <module> File "<string>", line 8, in rcexec RuntimeError: ERROR 010240: Could not save raster dataset In each raster, I have only one value (value=1) with count. I do not know whether the error comes from this or not. Do you have any idea why I got this error?

Yes, cell sizes are the same between data sets. For the spatial reference, if it means projection, yes, they are same.

Thanks for your comments. I already tried to use the Erase tool, but I cannot use the raster into either input features or Erase features. I guess both input features and erase features allow to use polygon shapefile rather than raster.

Hi, I would like to delete overlapped area and get not-overlapped raster image. I tried to use clip tool, but clip tool only provided overlapped areas. I have one base raster layer (brown pixels) and one polygon (pink color). Do you have any idea how to deleted overlapped area? Alternatively, I also have two raster layers. One for base raster (brown pixels) and the other one for overlapped raster (pink pixels) after use mask tool. I guess I may use raster calculation tool to get the not-overlapped pixels as an image, but I do not know how to do that. In order to get not-overlapped image, I do not know which one will be better and faster between (one raster with polygon) and (two rasters). Thank you, Sun

Thanks for your response. I have field boundaries in KY, and I have to get values such as slope and precipitation for each field. Eventually, I want to make field-based panel data rather than county-based panel. In each field, I can see what crop is grown, then estimate impact of precipitation on probability of crop rotation. If zonal statistics tool provides less observations than original observations in shapefile, I will have missing field boundaries (missing observations). It might result in sample selection bias in my estimation. That's why I want to keep and match same number of records as my original shapefile.

Hi, I am using zonal statistical fools and I would like to ask you one question that I have. I have field boundary shpefile which has 1062063 observations. I am using zonal statistical as table tool to obtain slope values from raster layer. when I run the tool, I only have 1003273 observations. I guess there are 58790 missing observations. Do you have any ideas why there are missing observations and how I can fix these missing observations? Thank you.

Maribeth, This is Sun again. I am sorry to ask you many questions. Today, I tried to run zonal statistics as table tool again, but the tool does not work. I did exactly same steps with same files, but I could not get the output. For example, it took 10 mins to get output yesterday, but the tool is running more than an hour without output. Do you have any ideas why I have this issue? Thank you. Sun

Maribeth, I guess I did not have enough knowledge about the raster. Now I understand what is your point, and I figured it out. The value in raster is uniquely assigned to each observation. Once I use zonal statistical tool, then I can join with other fields based on the value. Thank you so much.

Thank you for your response. I have one more question to you. I have a raster file, which is soil map. In the raster, there are so many columns, but I just want to use one column named "slope" and use zonal statistics tool. However, I do not know how to select only one column in the raster. I tried to run the zonal statistics, but I could not figure out what those values are. Please let me know if you have any ideas, Sun

Hi, First of all, thanks for your response. I have Cropland Data Layer, which is 30*30 meter satellite image. I want to make a field-based panel data in order to see the crop rotation for specific crops in Kentucky at the end. First, I was thinking to figure out how many fields are growing corn, soybean, and so on based on field boundary shapefile. Since I have so many unnecessary fields (i.e., not for corn or soybean), I would like to delete those fields. (It is because Second, I want to calculate how many pixels are located in each field in order to calculate total acres in each field based on number of pixels. Based on your suggestion, I may able to test smaller datasets and extent. However, I have 92 counties based on field boundary shapefile. It means I need to repeat 92 times. If you have better ideas, please let me know.
