Hi, I am testing to use Kendo-UI into WAB. The home.html attached is a sample code for autocomplete and also I downloaded the trial version of Kendo-UI Jquery in my "useJquery" folder. I am using the sample Widget "UseJquery" template as two attachments. Based on the following link " jQuery loader accepts a second argument of an array of pulgins to load along with jQuery", to load two .js libs in my code. jquery - How to load JQueryUI into Web AppBuilder? - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange I am not able to get the reference "styles/kendo.default-v2.min.css" to work. Also, I am not sure the two js files referenced correctly or not. Please give your thoughts on this. Thanks, Tom

Hi, There is the technical support article to get the current user name and roles using SOE. https://support.esri.com/en/technical-article/000011331 This code returns the following JSON: { "serverUserInfo": { "currentUser": "demo", "roles": [ "admin", "publisher" ] } }
The roles are that the user can be obtained. I'd like to have user name and her/his current role. Please advice? Thanks, Tom###

Hi, I have very limited knowledge for rater data. We are starting to use image services on our web application. All basemaps are with 3857 Web Mercator and our raster data has all Spatial Reference 4326, and landcover with PROJCS["Unknown_datum_based_upon_the_custom_spheroid_Sinusoidal",GEOGCS["GCS_Unknown_datum_based_upon_the_custom_spheroid",DATUM["D_Not_specified_based_on_custom_spheroid",SPHEROID["Custom_spheroid",6371007.181,0.0]],PRIMEM["Greenwich",0.0],UNIT["Degree",0.0174532925199433]],PROJECTION["Sinusoidal"],PARAMETER["false_easting",0.0],PARAMETER["false_northing",0.0],PARAMETER["central_meridian",0.0],UNIT["Meter",1.0]] I understand image services can be reprojected on the fly to 3857 for visualization in a web map, but for a performance reason I'd like to create mosaic dataset with 3857 Web Mercator to keep raster data as their native. Then image services connect with the mosaic dataset will have a better visualization performance on our web application. Here, I'd like to know whether would be any impact or distorted data when the image services are used for analysis, function?? or other issues or concerns?? Thanks, Tom

Thanks Ahmed, and everyone's help! I am using ArcCatalog to delete the feature class and refreshed in ArcCatalog. The city_2 is not in GDB_ITEMS, but in other tables: SDE_table_registry, SDE_column_registry, SDE_geometry_columns, and SDE_layers. I am not deleting them for now to use Ahmed's scripts. I will see what I can find out before delete them. I'd like to know the reasoning behind. We have few databases - dev, testing, production e.g. The problem is only in one database. In other databases, I can delete a feature class at same scenario successfully. After deleted a feature class, none of above tables has this record.

Hi, I am using ArcCatalog 10.3.1 and SQL server 2012. I have a feature class called "city" using by a map service. I have a new copy of this feature class with more record from other server. What i did was: step 1: stopped the map service; step 2: changed the feature class name to city_2 successfully; step 3: copied and pasted my new update feature class into my SQL database call same name city; step 4: restarted the map service and tested it to make sure the map service works successfully; step 5: deleted the city_2 from the SQL database successfully; step 6: Clicked "refresh" the SQL database, but the city_2 feature class came back; Please advise why I can not delete this old feature class?! Thanks, Tom#

I received a response from Esri. The analysisLayer takes a URL to a feature service URL or a feature collection. But, it does not support a featurelayer with dynamic source.

Thanks Kory! About esri/dijit/analysis/FindHotSpots, my testing result shows that FeatureLayer constructed with "url" works, but featurelayer constructed with "dynamiclayer" or "featureCollectionObject" did not work. I may did some thing wrong, but i'd like to know whether the task designed to work with those two types of FeatureLayer or not? This input parameter has a type - FeatureLayer, but not defined what type of FeatureLayer. There are three constractors to create a FeatureLayer by URL, by featureCollectionObject or by dynamiclayer with datasource from your database. ArcGIS for Server

Hi, I am working on identifyTask for a layer with dynamicLayerInfos. There is set dynamicLayerInfo.name = "testing layer" before identify, but indetify result shows layerName: "bioDWEB.BDUSER.%b4a6ec9e_155b_451f_b61f_1cfed05ad047". Any thoughts about this? Thanks, Tom

Ok, the problem solved! The GIS Server connection that we saved in the Export Web Map Tool before publishing the print service, was made to an http* URL.
