Feichi, did you ever resolve this? I have run into the same problem with 10.5.1. Tried all the suggestions but same outcome as you, GEE is not working.

I'd really suggest you try validating the data sources from Server Manager as well as ArcCatalog. Search for dsconnections.lst and view the contents in Notepad. Usually there is a broken connection in there!

Jan, its very likely that the sample is not encoding (ie escaping) the HTML for the popup. What I would do is look at the ArcGIS Online Assistant tool and see what it does to the JSON when it clones a web map. You can escape text for JSON using this online tool Free Online JSON Escape / Unescape Tool - FreeFormatter.com When I looked at your small sample text the break element </br> should be <\/br>

Apparently Python isnt very good at uploading files in a multi-part form. Took me 4 hours to figure this out but here is a working python script that will update a thumbnail. Thumbnail images must be in the same directory as the script.

Been banging my head for months with this problem. I've got one problematic site that was upgraded from 10.4 to 10.4.1 and suddenly stopped publishing services with the same error as the original question above. All existing services ran fine and if I published manually (as per the suggestion above) it worked fine too. The service publishing patch did not solve the problem. With this problematic site I noticed; 1) The data sources would not validate (just hangs) from Server Manager. 2) The lack of the dsconnections.lst file under "...\arcgisserver\config-store\data" (compared to a healthy 10.4.1 site). WORD OF CAUTION; Messing with the config directory was a last resort before building the site again. This approach is not recommended nor supported. Seek proper support from Esri first before you try any of this. Also make sure you have backups as fiddling can corrupt your site. To resolve I; 1) Shut down my service on both sites (ie broken and healthy) 2) On the broken site I deleted the contents from config-store\data 3) Copied over the contents of config-store\data from the healthy site to the broken site 4) Started up the broken site and the healthy site 5) IMPORTANT, I used ArcCatalog to delete all of the data stores from the broken site (EGDB and File Shares) 6) IMPORTANT, I used ArcCatalog to recreate all of my data stores (they would not recreate from Server Manager) 7) The data sources were then able to be validated 😎 The dsconnections.lst files timestamp was updated After that I was able to publish (and swizzle) successfully. Your results may vary but this is what worked for me. UPDATE Actually it looks like validating the data sources from ArcCatalog (on the same machine as ArcGIS Server) generates/updates the dsconnections.lst file. As a test I stopped the service, renamed the lst files, restarted the service and then validated the data sources using ArcCatalog. The files were regenerated. There are two locations to check for dsconnections.lst are ...\ArcGIS\Server\DatabaseSupport and ...\arcgisserver\config-store\data If these files are missing try validating the data sources from ArcCatalog first before fiddling with your config.

I just came across this problem with ArcGIS Server 10.1. The problem was I had a coded domain with 1000+ items on it (Street Name) which was applied to almost all the layers in the map. Removed the values and the error disappeared. I guess one could hide the column from the web service if required?

What is the best way to refresh feature services in Web App Builder? We have an editing workflow using Web App Builder which has some fields populated through a trigger on the RDBMS when new features are created. On occasion the attributes populate by the trigger don't show for some time. We have tried setting the refresh interval but this doesn't always solve the problem. Is there a way to refresh the map without hitting F5 to refresh the browser?

Thanks Richie, that’s a shame about your tool as it really has been very helpful in our data modelling efforts over the years. We do have and have used EA for data modelling but have found your tool provides a better workflow. We also have a number of current projects relying on Diagrammer for data modelling. BTW I have found by dropping in the following 10.2 DLL’s from the .Net Developers Kit into the Diagrammer BIN directory that I can get it working on a machine that has 10.3 installed. So problem solved for the short term. ESRI.ArcGIS.Carto.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.Catalog.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.CatalogUI.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.DataSourcesGDB.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.Display.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.ExceptionHandler.dll (Included in the Diagrammer install) ESRI.ArcGIS.Geodatabase.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.GeoDatabaseDistributed.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.GeoDatabaseExtensions.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.Geometry.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.Output.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.System.dll ESRI.ArcGIS.Version.dll Regards Trevor

Abhishek At 10.2.x this isn't really possible OOTB. You need Esri professional services help to implement and to get some custom build libraries for Portal (the OOTB libraries dont support it). At 10.3 there are instructions to do this yourself. Trevor

Just a word of caution that we've found that in order to be 100% reliable we have to shut down the Portal service (and hence postgres) before we copy the Portal database folder to our cold site. If we don't do this we sometimes end up with invalid check points and Postgres fails to start up. I say "sometimes" as we have been successful in most cases with Portal still running but every other start up will fail on the DR site unless Portal is shut down. The error messages we see in the Event viewer (when we dont shut down Portal) are; LOG: database system was shut down at 2014-09-09 23:00:02 NZST LOG: unexpected pageaddr 0/3000000 in log file 0, segment 5, offset 0 LOG: invalid primary checkpoint record LOG: invalid secondary checkpoint record PANIC: could not locate a valid checkpoint record LOG: startup process (PID 3372) exited with exit code 3 LOG: aborting startup due to startup process failure
