Thanks for your answer, but this sample does not contain any code regarding this precision issue. I really appreciate your help though.

Hi, We are having issues with Three.js in combination with a global view. This could be related to the following issue: Precision issues In global scenes, the precision of 32-bit floating point arithmetic is not sufficient for visualizations that go beyond global scale (i.e. country scale to city scale). When zooming the view beyond a certain scale, geometries will appear to wobble or jitter, and generally appear displaced. The same applies to local scenes where geometries are far away from the origin of the coordinate system. described in here: externalRenderers | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.5 There is no WebGL example, neither a Threejs example (preferable). In my opinion this is a real lack of documentation (as for me, it is not obvious how to do it). Could I please get an example. With regards,

Hi, I want to make a circle view around a 3d scene. I would expect that this code would do the job for me. However I get a hickup (a delay of 200 ms or so) between the different statements (so at the angle of 90, 180 and 270 degrees). This behaviour is not constant, the second loop is much more smoother than the first loop (in example). What's happening, why is it happening, and which action can I take to prevent this behaviour? Hi all, I can't find a clear example for this problem. I want to display weather information on an ESRI-map. As I can't query all 100.000 weather stations and present them on the map, I need to prioritize them. Is there an example available which is doing the exact same thing? I think about the following actions: 1) Create a FeatureLayer 2) Get The Bounding Box of the current map 3) Query for x weather stations in this area 4) Get weather reports for these stations 5) Add symbols to the map 6) Add events to all actions (zoom-in, out, move-center) 7) Combine all I would like to work from a clear example (as it is easier to do), and preventing pitfalls. Any tips? Any remarks on above actions? How can I do actions 2 & 6? With regards,

Hi, <moved from discussion to question> I have two visual glitches which may be related to each other, or may not. we have a minimum display size for our 3d objects, so everywhere in the world, the object is still visible. I implemented this procedure in the render code; see attachment. There is still a visual glitch visible for 4-5 frames, where the object is smaller than the specified minimum width, and I have no reason why (because this action is performed every single time in render) Place one breakpoint on the implementation of the test-function (view.goto; line 283). After this breakpoint is hit, add a breakpoint to the render method (original.width<200 ; line 221), for a better visual effect. In my screen the 3D Object has a variable width of 140 till 200 pixels, given a very strange visual glitch. Please note, the same behaviour occurs when using the scroll mouse, but not when using the touch gesture support. The second glitch is when you are moving the camera really close to the object itself (especially with a ground view). the object is jumping around / bouncing, during rotation, zoom in/out and other gesture controls (by mouse and touch screen). How can we control this behaviour? With regards,

Hi all, I just took my time to lean everything about the vector tile layer. And the documentation is really shattered; but my most important places are: Esri Vector Basemaps Reference Document General Documentation http://esri.maps.arcgis.com/home/search.html?t=content&q=tags%3Aesri_vector&start=1&sortOrder=desc&sortField=relevance (a list of all examples) Understanding Esri Vector Basemap File Structure | ArcGIS Blog (more details about the ordering) What is a geodatabase?—Geodatabases | ArcGIS Desktop (Information about creating a geo database) VectorTileLayer | API Reference | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.4 I have the following five questions: 1) We want to use a very limited dataset, only containing larger cities, lakes, etc and don't want to use the road information etc. Is it possible to host our own VectorTileServer ; What are the specifications? 2) We want to use all potential styling options. There is a reference to a mapbox site about styling. Only the documentation is incorrect for ARCGIS . When I copy the MapBox style to ARCGIS I receive error messages about incorrect styling. So which options are supported, and which aren't? 3) Is it possible to localize the city names etc. (if available, if so, which languages are available)? 4) Is it possible to display the city names with a 3d effect, depending on the camera angle ? 5) Is it possible to rotate the labels depending on the camera angle? Hi Thomas, view.environmentManager._updateLightParams = function(d) { //TODO: Create formula to change ambient light depending on zoomlevel and options sunUtils.settings.global.ambient = 0.4; this.__proto__._updateLightParams.call(this, d); } With regards, Jeroen van Onzen

In the specifications for the product, there is a request to have an optional day/night view, so I need to support both views. I guess my preferred option is to have influence on the ambient light (color/intensity), and bump this up to a higher value, depending on certain conditions (i.e. zoomlevel, and modus).

Hi all, we are currently developing an application within ArcGis Javascript. We want to have influence on the behaviour of the sunlight, for the following observations: 1) When turning on the option: view.environment.lighting.cameraTrackingEnabled The North Pole and South Pole are partly in dark. In the following old thread, they were working on a solution; but we found no additional information how to disable sun? 2) When turning off the option view.environment.lighting.cameraTrackingEnabled The sun is behaving as expected. However; the dark side of the earth is too dark for us. We see a light source active (as it is not black), so are we able to power up this light source? Secondly; especially when the user is zoomed in at a location, we would like to enlighten the earth more. Which options do I have to use AmbientLight only, or to push up the AmbientLight to get a nicer view? With regards, Jeroen van Onzen PS. The documentation for cameraTrackingEnabled is missing.
