Hi Bruce, Not sure what you mean by dynamic exactly. Can we make it skip fields? Looks like I'm about to have to manually scrub a bunch of layers in my KMZ... Say the word if you have a better idea, please! Thanks again for all your help.

Hi Bruce, I'm appreciating that this works for that sample set, thank you! Though it works with the four sample points, I actually need to process more than 1000 similar (though not identical) points. The key question is: What exactly needs to be identical about those other points? Obviously I'd rather not go through and click on each of the 1000 popups in the KML. Do you mean that the HTML table has to have the exact same fields? Does the order have to be the same? I know that there are some variations on the way the Elevation field is named and there are a couple records which don't have all the fields - will they still work? Plus, I've never done any work with FME so I don't know at all how to modify the tool if something is different...

OK, after upgrading all my software I still get an error but I don't have any idea what it means. (See below.) Thoughts or suggestions?

Hi Bruce, Thanks for the tool! It failed though. Could it be because I'm running 10.3.1? I do have Data Interoperability enabled but it's my first time using/installing so thanks for your guidance.

Hi Bruce, I think I'm going to need your help on this workflow you suggested to Adrian... I've got an HTML table in my KML popup that is preventing the information I need from being brought into ArcMap. I need to get the data in that HTML table (and hundreds of others like it) to be mapped into a geodatabase I'm setting up. What I get when I import using KML to Layer is just markup text in the layer's Popup attribute. A sample is attached... Can you or anyone else help? Thank you!

Mike - Can an organization specify our own print service if we aren't using Server? The scale bar that shows up on the default layout is in miles and that's not helpful for civil engineering at a parcel/street level. Thanks!

Robert! All I had to do was remove the widget and add it again to my app! Now all the basemaps in my basemap gallery show up in the widget. What a rookie mistake. I guess I learned my lesson. Thanks so much for your help. Cheers, V

The original question is not how to get Bing into your basemaps gallery, but how to get that basemaps gallery in to the WebApp Builder widget for changing the basemap. I still don't know how to put Bing into my APP other than to add it to my map, which forces the app to recognize it and add it to the basemap widget, and then to add the actual basemap I want to see first as a layer on top of it. I have several other basemaps available when creating a map (shown below) but they do not show up in the basemap widget (shown above). I'm pretty sure this is the same as the original issue that adaminglis was referring to.

There is a custom widget that has the opacity slider functionality you're requesting. Not sure how useful that is to you but here is the link: https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-2888

Does this solve your issue of not being able to get Bing as a basemap option in the WebApp Builder? It doesn't look like that has been addressed with this link. I am having the same issue. I can force WAB to recognize the Bing basemap if I load it into the map I'm using to run the app but I also want to add the other basemaps I have in my basemap gallery as options as well.

This was the solution to the same issue I suddenly started having with 10.3.1 yesterday. I followed your instructions and I was finally able to update georeferencing again. Thank you for documenting!

I've created a map for field workers to use on survey jobs with points for all the manholes they will have to survey. There is an attribute for all the information they need to collect including the photos (e.g. North-Facing Surroundings). I want to attach the photos directly to the attribute so that when the map is viewed in the office, the picture shows up with a description of "North-Facing Surroundings" and the person using the information knows what they are looking at. The surveyor would also be able to see when he hasn't completed a task for that particular manhole. See below for an example. This could also be achieved by naming the photo "MHS-102 North-Facing Surroundings" so that when it shows up in the pop-up the designer knows what they're clicking on. Right now these photos are out of context and I'd like to change that if possible. The preferred solution is simple and requires no scripts. We are not working with ArcGIS Server yet, if that information is helpful. Current Situation: Ideal Situation:

Katie, I was getting the error that this "lastdateedited" value was invalid in my layer definition so I just deleted the whole attribute and my error went away. Is it a required field or just something extra that gets added? The layer works fine now and I was able to update the definition as I had otherwise intended so I'm just wondering if it will continue to function without that attribute. Thanks!

Dear Esri, I know you've been working on this for at least two years and I want to impress upon you how important this functionality is for field workers using Collector to gather survey information for engineering/land development/asset management projects. We are dying for this capability, please let us know you're taking it seriously! Survey123 is not a replacement for Collector yet so it is not helpful to have that capability in a separate app. Thank you for all you do!

Rupali, When I had the same error it was because I typed in the field name incorrectly for where the URL was going. Make sure you don't use the alias but the actual name of the field.
