I've considered that, that perhaps the system length field isn't very compatible. I might try that, thank you for pushing me further down that path.

Trying to build a trail navigator and I'd like the user to see how many miles their hike will be. I have two filters, one to pick the park they're in and one to pick which colored loop or loops they want to hike. Filters seem to work great. However... I've tried to use the SUM({Shape.STLength()}) expression (also was going to convert to miles, but heck, I'd be happy with any result) to achieve this in the Dynamic Text and it doesn't want to work. I tried just displaying the first random attribute and it seems to be reading the data OK, but when I try to switch to the expression I want to use, it just displays "Expression 2" no matter what I do. Any ideas?

I have been running a license manager on a t2.micro (for over 3 years) and now ported it to a t2.nano for my organization. It is a extremely small footprint and only a few bucks running the nano a month. I then add the dns entry to make it a user friendly name, add the port exceptions and modify the security group to allow internal on-prem floors and remote workers access. It has been rock solid for years. Esri should document this as option or a cloud formation script deployment. I haven't looked at it in chef as I haven't had to touch it since it was created...Message me if you are still interested.

I am curious about ArcGIS Monitor in AWS...Is there any specifics on this, will it be a part of the cloudformation templates? Thanks!

Jessica, You can now go into the aws console/ec2/load balancer page and select the load balancer you are working with and select it then go to the listeners tab below, select the edit button and add a listener when you select the change button by the SSL certificate you will now see a radio button that will let you choose an existing certificate from the AWS Certificate Manager (ACM). Now this is not baked into the cloud formation templates yet or I would imaging the cloud builder app, although I have not looked at the latest air runtime yet. Getting Started with Elastic Load Balancing - AWS Certificate Manager Hope that helps, I will be logging this into support today as well as I would like to see it in the configuration for the cloud formation templates. Although you can always add it yourself as well... Bill

I had the same question to esri awhile back and although I cant speak to specific license requests I sent the above link Virtual Cores by Amazon EC2 and RDS DB Instance Type to my esri account representative who then confirmed with the team that I could use a ArcGIS Server (4 core) license on a m3.2xlarge ec2 type (prior to this I only saw mention to xx.xlarge instance types). Note that if you auto scale this instance you will require additional licenses, so please check with your esri account representative to confirm this information. I have been using m3/m4.2xlarge ec2 types for over a year now in prd and dev/tst (EDN) scenarios. - Bill
