I have the same issue, can not publish a hosted service from portal, testing using a simple csv file that someone else used successfully on their portal/server. I ran through the 4 steps listed above with no luck, any suggestions?

I want to match up to a GeoFence, my Category is ConstraintAreas but the name is variable. Here is the error I receive: No GeoFences matched the input GeoFence String ConstraintAreas/${ConstraintAreaCode}. Could not process any events. If I use ConstraintAreas/.* it will pull in multiple Geofences but they don't all equal my constraint area code, Constraint areas can be added by my users on the fly and my GeoFences automatically updates. It does not seem like a good work flow to edit my GeoEvent service and put in a filter and a Intersector every time a constraint area is added, any suggestions?

I created a MapPoint then used this code: var coords = GeometryEngine.Project(theMapPoint, SpatialReferences.WGS84) as MapPoint; _pointSymbol = SymbolFactory.ConstructPointSymbol(ColorFactory.RedRGB, 6, SimpleMarkerStyle.Circle); AddOverlayAsync(coords, _pointSymbol.MakeSymbolReference()); ActiveMapView.ZoomTo(theMapPoint);

I'm not sure if I have the correct picture, there was a serial port watcher, and in the latest release of runtime everything has been replace with Location Provider and we have do come up with our own version of NEMA Sentence processing (or use what is available on GITHUB), this seems like a step backwards.

We created a Custom WPF application with ArcGIS Mobile using Microsoft Studio 2010 VB.Net, none of this code is straight out of the box but it works totaly offline. We created tiled map cahes from the imagery and the feature classes are in mobile map caches that sync using ArcGIS Server. Some data is one way sync and some is a two way sync. The user collects attribute data on structures and the data is synced back to a file geodatabse. Tha application collects GPS values with Range Finder offsets and the performace is great. ESRI needs to get to Microsoft Studio 2010 and support VB.Net and WPF Controls.

It seems like a lot of people are not selecting any layers for the createMobileMap tool, after the extent parameter there should be a layer or layers selected. Example: arcpy.CreateMobileMap_mobile(v_mobile_mxd, v_output_imagery, "", "-3731425.75005917 -1755480.88317348 1797218.25001261 2855364.50819073", InputDistrict, "") If anyone has .Net Code please post.
