Thanks for the info. One of our partner agencies also opened a case about this, but I haven't heard if there's been any resolution yet. I've seen these issues on at least 3 public Hub portals so far, and it's not just the duplicate records that are concerning but also the portal records count might be inaccurate because of the duplicates. If you tried the manual refresh, did it work for you? If that is a fix, I'm not sure we have time to manually refresh a hub all the time since our records are being updated all the time.. perhaps that could be an automated back-end thing as a future Hub bug fix that Esri implements?

In the ArcGIS Hub/open data portals that our org shares data to, the "Export public catalog (CSV)" option produces a download with many duplicate records, and it appears the record count of this CSV, including duplicates, is what is shown as the number of records in the portal. The good news is that the duplicates seem to only be present in the CSV and don't appear to be discoverable by searching the portal (i.e. if there's 2 or more duplicate records in the CSV, only 1 is returned from a search in the portal), but the bad news is that this appears to be a bad bug that is not helpful to users wanting an accurate inventory download, and that portals seem to be using inaccurate count stats that include the duplicates? Please see attached graphic showing example from the California State Geoportal. I've also noticed this same behavior in our own Hub/open data portal (Hub standard). I'm guessing this may have something to do with duplicates being generated on the back end due to item updates, but are not reflected in live searches, but the CSV download is generated from the back end? We could open a case for this, but it appears to be affecting many organizations, so thought I'd report it here, thanks (P.S. years ago we experienced duplicate records issues with Hub that was related to the automated way we were updating records and needed Esri to help us fix that, but hopefully this current issue doesn't seem as complicated to fix?).

Hi, if one needs to save an ArcGIS Online item for a WMS or WMTS service complete with popup settings, it seems the only way to do it currently is through Map Viewer Classic as Map Viewer doesn't let you save it to an item? Or am I missing something? Is the ability to save WMS or WMTS like this via Map Viewer something yet to be added? Will this capability be migrated from Map Viewer Classic? Thanks

I saw Pipelines is now out of beta and trying to figure out what credit impact this may have if our qualified users start using it - I dug around the Pipelines and AGOL credit documentation but could not determine if its credit usage pulls from a user's AGOL credit budget (assuming credit budgeting is implemented for the org, as ours is) or directly from the org such as with storage. Using the user's credit budget would be preferred of course so that AGOL admins don't have to worry about users draining credits in a more uncontrolled manner. Thanks for any insight.

As an org Esri/ArcGIS admin for 10+ years I appreciate finding this article, although I've learned some of this stuff through osmosis and trial-and-error over the years. However, this article could use updating as some of the dialogs/workflow have changed (such as with a recent AGOL update, an admin is now better prompted when deleting a member's account if the account should be retained with Esri access, i.e. revert to a public account), and I have these general comments/questions: 1.) Isn't it easier overall, and a better best practice, to advise users to try and use one account overall through their careers if possible, i.e. start with a public account or org account with a username of their liking, then bring that account into and out of each primary org, and update its associated email address, as they move through their career (i.e. college, work, etc.) and just request each org's admin to retain Esri access when deleting/removing the account from each org as it should then revert to a public account and retain the training history, right? Otherwise, it can get confusing for org admins as some users may use a different account for AGOL than My Esri, and when someone leaves an org, the admin has to find and disconnect accounts from AGOL and My Esri under different usernames. 2.) The AGOL default org account usernames of "firstname.lastname_<org name/domain>" for admins is nice in some way as it may create automatically unique usernames across the entire account universe, but inconvenient and potentially a bad practice in that when users leave an org, if an admin chooses to leave Esri access enabled then a public account with a username potentially containing that user's real name and associated to the org name will remain active, even though that person has left the org and no longer represents it. Instead, should AGOL default org usernames just be like firstname.lastname and a unique number, but nothing related to an org included in the username? 3.) E-Learning access is confusing in that public accounts get free access to it by connecting to their org through My Esri (assuming org has active maintenance subscription), but org accounts have access to E-Learning by default even though they don't show up in the org's My Esri list of connected users (unless they request their org account to be connected separately, such as if they request "Downloads" permission i.e. to download desktop ArcGIS software). 4.) Org accounts have the ability to download ArcGIS Pro updates from within the ArcGIS Pro app (About - Software Update) after signing into it, but public accounts, even linked to their org via My Esri with Downloads permissions, do not - this seems counterintuitive, but if it was possible it would be helpful for orgs with Single Use or Concurrent Use licensing instead of Named User (and I'm aware Concurrent Use is supposed to be going away, but that seems at least a few years off until ArcMap end of mature support, and won't Single Use licenses still be around anyway after that?). As it is now, public account users even linked to their orgs via My Esri have to separately download ArcGIS Pro updates and patches and install them instead of being able to update within the app. 5.) I think I still occasionally find some Esri websites that refer to "Esri account" instead of "ArcGIS account". It would be nice to consistent in the terminology, and just say "ArcGIS account". 6.) For admins, it would be nice if AGOL and My Esri could be connected better for account clean up, i.e. not having to add/delete accounts from both sites, or at least if you delete an account from AGOL that it automatically also deletes from the org's My Esri list of users at the same time, as it is now, they have to be managed separately. Thanks for the time and consideration!

Thanks everyone for the replies, so very happy to hear FAA is hosting chart services! This info exchange is a classic example of when the Esri Community forums are invaluable. Perhaps someone with existing posting capability can post in that pilotsofamerica forum mentioned earlier to let them know about the FAA service options for anyone that that was using Chartbundle's now defunct service? And for the record, below are links to the ArcGIS Online (AGOL) items/descriptions for the FAA services, and a graphic showing how I discovered them there. Per their AGOL item descriptions, sounds like they're being actively updated. And if anyone from FAA is reading this, those services really should be more formally titled than simply "VFR_Sectional" for example and marked "Authoritative" in ArcGIS Online (since FAA is hosting them) to make them easier to find - when I was trying to add them to an existing ArcGIS Online web map, I found the easiest way was to find them from the Browse/Add Data dialog was using the layer ID string. And I didn't see mention of these services on the FAA VFR Raster Charts page, so noting the availability of the services there would also be useful. Thanks @KiyoshiYamashita ! Yes, we're aware of the Skyvector option, but that doesn't let us bring our own ArcGIS Online layers into context with the latest sectionals, and I believe at times I've also seen Skyvector's charts slightly lagging behind the latest charts. We're also aware of the FAA chart source downloads, but as a CA statewide organization, we don't have the capacity to keep updated and host a service like this for ourselves. This type of service is greatly needed for a variety of reasons not to mention public safety. I'm really surprised FAA hasn't made a public offering for this (anyone out there in FAA-land listening?) or could Esri perhaps curate and host one in the Living Atlas? Thanks again for any help or leads.

Thanks @DougBrowning ! - I suspect this limit is in relation to the capacity/file limits of the hosted feature layer storing the records? But I would appreciate hearing an official statement on this - anyone from Esri out there? We have a client anticipating a very large number of records, just trying to get sense of the capacity potential and if they've chosen the right platform.

For years our organization has used a reliable FAA charts service hosted by "Chartbundle" but recently it seems to have gone down or disappeared or no longer shared publicly - last seen here: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=597896e2ea9e4c4abd5951b155bfb61f , and the Chartbundle company website seems to be down also, so dunno if that's a temporary thing due to weather etc.? Anyone know of another service offering the latest scanned Sectional charts? No easy management task I suppose as the charts can change every few months, but very much needed so we can easily see our own organizational operational layers in context of FAA airspace for drone flight planning, etc. Is FAA hosting anything like this? Thanks for any insight.

Is there any limit on the number of records a Survey123 survey can store? I've seen some limit language on the max number of records that can be returned, etc. but I can't find anything related to if there's a maximum number of total survey responses (records) that a survey can hold - is that related to the number of records in the associated point feature class for the survey? Thanks for any insight.

Hi, I can't any reference to this bug (BUG-0001375864) in the support pages, but yet it still seems labeling multipoint geometries in AGOL Map Viewer does not work - what is the status of this issue, is it a bug being addressed, or is it a known limitation with no plans to fix it? Thanks.

Thanks for the info, but FYI on that blog article page, I tried accessing the URL on 3 different networks/ISPs with separate devices and only 1 of them could access it, the other 2 gave the "requested URL was rejected" error as shown in attached graphic. I don't know much about web security stuff, but tried Googling around to figure out what that error means, sounds like could one or more of many issues, but since it happened on 2 different networks, maybe something wrong with the page?

Hi! I'm looking for clarification on how to use Living Atlas content (Subscriber and/or Premium) in public apps. As an admin for our AGOL org of 450+ users, I often see our users redundantly re-upload and publish layers for their own web map or app use that already exist in Living Atlas. I tried to use the following guidance link referenced above: Use ArcGIS Living Atlas subscriber content in maps, scenes, and apps but it currently yields a "Request Rejected" page (tried a few different computing environments with same result) - this makes me wonder if the approach or policy to use them has changed? As an example usage scenario, several of our staff have been currently uploading their own SSURGO soils data but Living Atlas already has a great USA Soils Map Units layer using SSURGO data - what would it take to let them use that in public web maps and apps instead? Thanks.

It seems ever since new My Esri was released, I've tried to submit Customer Service-related questions/cases via the Ask Customer Service - Submit Request option in My Esri, but it does not work! And seems like it never has worked for me and my admin ArcGIS account despite trying multiple computers, browsers, with or without attachments, etc. It always gives an error message "Unfortunately your request could not be completed" and because of this I've had to submit such requests through regular Esri tech support channels, which seems to open the wrong kind of case (tech support vs customer service), or via email which is sometimes a pain. It would be nice if this is fixed, or if this is unique to me, how can we fix it for me? I've reported it to our Esri Cust Svc rep, but nothing has ever happened with it, thanks.

Our organization requires our users to download and install software that is ONLY under current Esri support, and on the My Esri website, the traditional installers offered (.exe/.msi) are indeed the supported versions only, BUT the ISO format downloads include old unsupported versions (Desktop 10.3, etc.) - can these please be removed ASAP? Why have them for download to all My Esri users if they are no longer supported by Esri? We don't want our My Esri users potentially installing old unsupported versions. We used to curate our installers on an internal server for our users instead, but with the pandemic shifting our work to now being heavily remote, we have many users rely on My Esri to get installers, and they need to be SUPPORTED releases. I've opened an Esri case on this and they say they can't remove the ISO installers for one org, so they'd have to be removed for all orgs - please do so or provide an alternative like allowing an org's My Esri admin to "disable downloads for unsupported releases" or just have them available only to My Esri admins, or by request, or something like that. Thank you.
