You mean to draw a graphics if that is the case select the graphics which need to rotate using the "Rotate" graphics tool on the Draw Tool Bar and Press Shift+A , this will give a small window to enter the rotation angle. Anish Hi, I am using the WPF SDK. And I wish to do this from code behind. I do not intend to rotate the graphic, infact draw a line from one graphic to a map point.

Hi, I have a question on which product to use. After going through the esri website I understand that we can use the WPF API for the following: Add graphics and markup to a map interactively Search for features or attributes in your geographic information system (GIS) data and display the results Edit feature geometry and attributes Can we use the ArcGIS engine SDK for the same? We do not want the user to change the attribute of a graphic. it should be changed from the code upon certain event. The local distributor mentions that it is possible, but I still have my doubts. Also one more important question is, Similar to what the WPF API does by loading the base map and feature layer; can the ArcGIS Engine Desktop SDk for .net load 2 maps at a time. It will be of very much help if some one could answer my queries at the earliest.

I have a quick question. If we have Desktop 10.1 and wish to use offline maps. We do not wish to have the server, are we still able to use the WPF runtime SDK to display the maps on our application? Is the server really necessary? I read the documentation but it is still not very clear if we can do away with the server. Thanks

Hi, Please can you clarify the following in more detail. Do you require the green rectangle element specified in your control template to have the geometry of your polygon graphic? In this scenario, if the geometry is different for each polygon where would you like the yellow lines to be positioned? If each polygon geometry always is a rectangle would you require the yellow lines to emerge from the bottom corners of each rectangle? Cheers Kerrie The geometry of polygon will always be rectangle. The yellow lines needs to emerge from the bottom corners of rectangle. But the angle of this yellow line with the rectangle should be modifiable at runtime. Say at the start the angle between the yellow line and rectangle's bottom edge is 45 degrees, at certain event this angle should be able to change to 135 degree

So when you define your polygon symbology you change the outline symbology, thickness etc. and the fill colour in the code or define it in the map service. Are these polygons a graphics layer or is it referencing actual data? Not quite sure what that shape is. It looks like three rectangles, would you be able to explain this symbology a little more? These are graphic layer. the polygon is a rectangle, with 2 lines, extending at 45 degree from the bottom corners. Actually, I think i can modify the control template, to draw a rectangle, but how about the lines?

There are a few legal implications to keep in mind when using the Static Maps API: The application must run in a Web browser (see 10.8). This means you cannot use it in a WPF, Silverlight out-of-browser, or Windows Phone application. So the static map API can not be used with WPF application 😞 The ArcGIS Extension for the Google Maps API is also for webpages. 😞 So if the application is not a web based application, there is no way of using Google maps???

Hello, Is it possible to overlay a map (a .mxd map created in ArcMap) over a google maps image. We wish to extract the relevant image from google maps.( I don't know how) but suppose say we have a satellite image of the relevant map then can we overlay our maps on the image? Second option, are we able to save a google map offline, coz the system will not have interent access. If so, then; we have an ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer and feature layer on an existing application. We wish to overlay these two layers on the google map. Possible??? How?
