Hi,

I have an elevation dataset that is contour lines (lines). I have already made a TIN using this data, but for the life of me I can not figure out what arc toolbox command to use to create a DEM from the TIN. What arc toolbox command do I use to do this? I know I can go from a DEM to a TIN. I now want to go the other way. I have a student license of arcgis so I have all the extensions. Ideally I want to go from contour lines directly to a DEM. Is this possible?

Thank you,
Luke Kaim

- Where are you sending your output?
- Try writing it to Esri grid in a newly created folder.
- Try running the tool in foreground mode (Geoprocessing->Geoprocessing Options->Disable Background processing)

I am still having problems displaying my outputs.

I have tried to disable the background processing and I still dont get my outputs displayed on my map.

My outputs are send to my workspace...the output was generated and added to the table of content but it was not displayed on the map.

What do you mean by writing it to ESRI GRID?how to do that???

Thanks

first you create tin from contours

then you convert tin to raster/dem
