We are creating 2 TIN surfaces, one from Elevation point data collected in the field and another from polygons with elevations of the design for cranberry farm fields and the dykes surrounding them.

Using the Surface Difference tool we are able to calculate the cut and fill volumes that we use to estimate construction costs. The challenge that we have is to find the ideal elevation for the surface of the cranberry bed (field) - This would be the the elevation at which the cut will equal the fill (this minimizes project costs).

Is it possible to take a TIN of an existing surface and find the contour at wich the cut volume would equal the fill volume?

Thanks
