LAS dataset tool - any way to change the way elevation filter defaults?

Is there a way to change the surface filter defaults to alter how they display? Specifically, the elevation filter, and as can be done with the hillshade tool, I'd like to change the azimuth and altitude - the LAS dataset tool *appears* to be displaying the elevation surface with a 315 degree azimuth and 45 degree altitude (the default values for creating hillshade).

Thank you.

Susan,

There does not appear to be a way to change the settings you are wanting to change. In order to do this, you would need to convert your LAS dataset to a raster (or a TIN) in order to change the hillshade/azimuth values. The most you can do with the LAS Dataset is changing the vertical exaggeration:

Tagging the 3D place (and Spatial Analyst)
