Hi there,

I've exported an .obj file from Metashape, and then imported it to an ArcGIS Pro Scene using the Import 3D Files tool. It arrives ok, but it displays large holes in the texture for some reason. I've tried exporting using different file types (dae, 3ds, etc), but they all look the same. Similar results under lower resolutions.

Obj in Metashape.pngObj in ArcGIS Pro.png

I contacted Metashape and they said they could get the file open and looking fine in ArcGIS Earth, but this doesn't help me because I'm trying to overlay this 3D file in an ArcGIS session with multiple other data types. They suggest it could be on the 'display side' in ArcGIS Pro, but tinkering with the display settings has got me nowhere because I don't know what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what might be causing the visualization error? I'm using ArcGIS Pro 3.1.0 (on Windows 10 virtual machine on a MacBook Pro) and running Metashape 2.0.3.

Thanks,

Paul
