My question is about how domain values work with the atrribute inspector when in edit mode.
If I use a domain for a field, the attribute inspector correctly list my domains in a combo box, however, if I don't manually select a combo box value, when I save the feature, the attribute gets saved as null.
I can manipulate the default template for the feature class and have the default values saved correctly.
?:
1.Why do I have to manually select a value or create default values in order for a user to save without further action.....why doesn't the selected value for the combo box automatically get saved?
2.How can I tell whcih domain value is going to display as the first item in the combo box so that I correctly define my template, are the values always listed in the same order as they are exposed through the rest end point?
