InfoWindow On CLick

I need some guidance as my coding skills are minimal.  I am trying to implement an infowindow on my property layer exactly like the ESRI example here: http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/flex/samples/index.html.

Ideally I would like to have an icon in my header that the user would click and then click on a property to get the InfoWindow - I do not want a widget to appear - just a simple click on icon and click on prop for the infoWindow.
