Export graphics to shape file or kml

Hello:

I'd like to develop a functionality in my app where the user can add graphics to the map like this and then the user be able to export it, to either kml or shapefile and have it saved on the desktop. Is there any sample code out there that does this (export to shape or kml from silverlight 4.0 map app)?

serializing graphics is not really what i'm looking for.

Is there a way to directly save a GraphicsLayer to an actual Shapefile so it can be opened in ArcMap or any other application that supports shapefiles?
