It would be best to have an option to increase the maximum limit over the current value of 5,000 points when using ArcGIS Online as the data source.

I would like to analyze data for site suitability at a regional scale, where I need more than 5,000 POIs such as competitor's and other contributing factors such as bus stops, schools etc.

I understand this may consume a large number of service credits, but large-scale analyses of varying geographies are not carried out often and I think it's still more economical than buying offline datasets, where the latter is usually more costly.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to explain your use case and why increasing the maximum limit of POI results is important for your analysis research.  We truly value and appreciate the information you have provided. The current limits are necessary to align with our data provider requirements.  However, we always take user feedback under great consideration and will do our best to work toward meeting your needs as well as our data provider requirements.

Our best practices recommendation for the current workflow design is to refine the POI search criteria and search extent.  For example, narrow your POI search criteria based on a specific category, NAICS or SIC Code and focus the search extent area so the 5000 limit is not as easily reached.  Depending on the area, you may need to perform additional searches and save the results layer to use again in your analysis.  In this case, it might be helpful to refine your search extent in Step 1 of the workflow to study areas, such as predefined geography sites or polygons.  The upcoming release, coming soon, makes it easier to set your geography areas without having to first create sites in other workflows.

We greatly value your feedback and suggestions that will help us improve the application to better serve your use case. Please keep your ideas coming!

Thank you for using Business Analyst!

Best regards,

Donna
