Add a transparency option either in basemap settings or in the layer settings when imagery from ArcGIS Online is added to the contents.

There are 2 ways to change the layer transparency:

  1. Right-click the layer in the table of contents, you can change the layer transparency at Properties-> Appearance.
  2. Click the Underground mode button on the right side, you can configure the transparency of the ground.YongweiKang_0-1678685679613.png

Do these two options meet your needs?

@YongweiKang thanks! The ground transparency setting works for me. When I add the imagery through add data so that it shows up in the table of contents, there is no appearance tab in the properties (probably because it treats it as a basemap even though it's now in the table of contents as well.)

@GISAdminSHN I'm glad to hear that the ground transparency setting works for you.  If the added layer shows up in the table of contents, and it is an imagery layer, the appearance tab in the properties should show up. See the below screenshot and the test data.

Which version of Earth are you using? I'm sure we have supported it for a long time. But feel free to use our latest version 1.18.

Best,

So, it turns out the imagery layer I added was actually a "Web Map" <facepalm>. When the imagery is actually an image service, the Appearance tab is there no problem! 😄 Thanks for the help!
