I am Administrator within our ArcGIS Portal and therefore have the User Type creator and the role administrator. Very often I want to test how things (WebMaps, Apps, etc.) work for users that have a different role. So it would be super smooth to have a button in my profile dropdown, where I can easily switch my role. For example from administrator to data editor. So I can check how is the look and fell (and the rights of course) for a user with the role date editor. At the moment I have to use a "test-account" of a fictional user to check the behavoir and rights for a user with different role. And as far as I know, this is officialy not allowed. But ESRI does it in its own trainings.
And I have to confes: we use technical users. We are multiple Admins and it only makes sense to use an Adminaccount to create content. So it would also be nice to not only be able to change the role, but also to very easily change the account. So I can switch very easy between my Adminaccount and my personal account.
So all in all we have to use a "fake account" to test the behaviour and rights. So please, make your software great again and allow us to use a technical account and make switching between roles and/or accounts super easy.
