It would be great if Experience Builder widgets could support URL parameters.

In particular we have a use case where we are using Experience Builder to present operational work planned for the next financial year, and it would be great if we could use links to show the sheet referring to the works plan of specific areas, within our intranet.

We also have an Experience with a table embedded within a Dashboard, and it would be great if we could use the Dashboard filter functionality to change the table sheet based on a category selector etc.

Thanks,

Emily

would also useful to have the ability to filter based on the current user, say for a dashboard that you want the use to see their performance

Yes, I would also like to see URL parameters available to pass to Experience Builder.  We have a number of custom applications that generate URL parameters to create a custom map on the fly for users based on what they're doing and where they're at in the application.  The only way that's currently possible is with Web AppBuilder.  We would like to take advantage of the new functionalities in Experience Builder and honestly, move our solution off of old platforms that are currently dubbed "Legacy" and therefore will be retired.

With 30 or more WAB DE applications that make heavy use of URL parameters, my organization will not be able to migrate to EB until that functionality is added. Within our local government, Property Accessor, Clerk of Court, Tax Collector, Growth Management, Planning, Environmental Management and Permitting Offices, are just a few of the agencies integrated through WAB URL parameters. I am alarmed that this functionality is only "Under Consideration" by ESRI. It should have been part of the plan from the start.

Hey ESRI - any progress / update / hope for getting URL parameters to work with Ex B??

thanks,

Any news?
We want to upgrade applications from WAB to ExB, but this missing feature is a real deal breaker!

@AnnaGold yes there are some news, but bad news. It is not announced before the november update (https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-experience-builder-blog/arcgis-experience-builder-2023-roadmap/... ).

For us as well URL parameter is a deal breaker for migrating from WAB to ExB. It's 2023 and we are still stuck with Viewer Classic and WAB where we can't even group layers. Thanks ESRI!

@Thomas1 Thank you for the update, very sad news.

Not being able to use URL parameters to set the centre and extent of the map is a real issue for us migrating to Experience Builder.  As an example, we provide fish stocking information to the public at https://www2.gnb.ca/content/gnb/en/departments/erd/fish-and-wildlife/content/go-fishing/content/Stoc....  Each of the waterbody names on the page links to a web app that uses zoom and centre to bring the selected waterbody into view for the user.  There are 91 waterbodies that are possible selections for the user, so I have no idea how we could replace this functionality in Experience Builder as it is now.

Same problem, we have a lot of applications (desktop and mobile, most of them not developed by us) with embedded links to WAB Applications.
