I've been scripting the installation of ArcGIS Explorer since build 1500 so it could be installed quickly from a thumb drive. Now that ESRI's released build 1750, I've assembled a new version. It still includes all current expansion packs (data access, fonts, and projections), but I've also added Microsoft's Native Client for connections to ArcSDE data on SQL Server. I uploaded a zip file to ArcGIS.com, direct link here: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=1fdbd86e287a4fc0ba3bddac3218ffce

  • Download the ZIP, extract to a thumb drive, and double-click Install_ArcGIS_Explorer.bat to install (right-click and Run As Administrator for Vista or Windows 7)

  • Let me know if you have any problems getting it to work

  • I intend to keep assembling new versions as ESRI releases new builds

  • Please direct complaints about the size of the download to ESRI 🙂
