Hi,
I have imported shapefiles into ArcGIS explorer that are in British national Grid coordinate system.
Within the map properties I have set the 2D coordinate system to British National Grid and applied the relevant transformation and the shapefiles display in the correct location.
However, when I change the basemap layer the shapefiles shift from their correct location, even though the 2d coordiante systme is still set to British National Grid and the transofrmation is applied.
The only solution I have found is to remove the shapefiles and then add them again and reset the coordinate systema dna transformation.
Obvioulsy this is not ideal as it would be useful to be able to switch between basemap layers without removing and adding the shapefiles.
This appears to be some sort of bug, has anyone else experienced this problam and know of a solution?
