I have a shape file that has median household income for all census block groups in Texas.  Can I change the color of the block group based on the household income value in ArcGIS Explorer Desktop?  Thank you for your help!

Hi Arick,

Yes, take a look at either applying a unique value or graduated color symbology to your shapefile.

Jake,

Thank you very much for your response!  Just to clarify - I am trying to do this in ArcGIS Desktop Explorer as opposed to just ArcMaps.  Is that possible?

Thanks,

Arick

Arick:

Yes you can set the color and use it in AGX.

In ArcMap, Symbolize your shapefile by Category using an attribute field then right-click on the shapefile layer in the TOC and choose Save As Layer File.  Now add that LYR file to your AGX map and you're good to go!
