I am using the beta version of 10.1 to create maps which I then publish onto my arcgis.com hosted service.  All works well except for the time anabled layers.  These work as expected in Desktop, but the data is served as integer values when published - no time slider in Explorer Online.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi,

Does the service defintion for the service contain the following information:

Time Info:
Time Extent: [some value, some value]
Time Reference: N/A

If not then Explorer Online won't be able to display the time data.

Could you also try in the arcgis.com map viewer as well - does it work there?

No on both counts, Mike. There is no time definition in the service definition, nor is the time data available in an map viewer.

Soundsto me like it is unsupported at present or is a bug. I'll make some enquiries and if I find out more information I will post back on this thread. I'd also suggest you post the same question on the ArcGIS Online Forum in the context of the ArcGIS.com map viewer.
