Really liking the initial release of Smart Forms!

Am I missing a setting or something for the form settings to apply to the Read Only view as well, I seem to have to configure once for edit view in smart forms editor then separately use the standard Pop Up configuration for the read only view.

Specifically it is the grouping and conditional visibility, you can go through a lot of effort to have the form look really good with all the grouping and field visibility logic, but as soon as you save you just get the standard long list of all attributes. It is quite a jarring UX for the user.

Is it that grouping and conditional visibility might come to pop up configuration in the future?

HI Anthony,

Currently, this is by design. The form and popup are two independent things now. The form is designed for editing. The popup is designed for read-only (and allows editing if a new form is not present to support existing maps that worked in Collector). This allows for two potentially different user experiences.

In the New Map Viewer (currently in beta) you can group fields, media, and attachments into different sections. There are also plans to support conditional visibility in those new popups. These newer popup formats are currently not supported in Field Maps Android and iOS but we do plan to support them in the future.

If you create a popup in the New Map Viewer with grouped fields, and then use the "convert popup" action in Field Maps Web, it will honor those groups when creating the form.

Thanks Aaron! Is this plan for support in the future on the roadmap anywhere currently?
