Can we get the ability to apply Definition Queries to Service Layers.  The Define by Extent seems quirky, and we are are to define a blue box when defining my Area or Extent, but there is a White Box that is applied to help implicity spatially Filter the data, what I need is to either give me the ability to define the White box that clips out the data or an explicit way to define what I want to see, hence a Def Query for the Data.

Ted,

Hi! I am not sure what the white box you are describing is. ArcGIS for AutoCAD has the idea of a Project Area (the blue box). That project area is a spatial query of what data to bring in from your layers. This only applies to feature layers. So only data within or touching that blue box will be brought in. The recommended workflow is to set your coordinate system, add a map, find the area you are working in, set the project area and then add feature layer.

In regard to the specific question of this issue you can also set a definition query on add of a layer through Autolisp. You can find documentation for that here: https://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/arcgis-for-autocad/index.html#/esri_webfeaturelayer_add_AutoLIS...

We discovered today the white box is the Extent.  We also need to find out how do we undo the Set Area\Extent, It seems like there should be some sort of undo.  Furthermore, it would great if you create some videos for YouTube of the functionality, specifically can do you a video of the workflow mentioned above for Setting Area, etc...
