Does the editor tracking abilities in 10.1 support windows authentication of sharepoint foundation?

We enabled a sharepoint map with editing capabilities to a feature service hosted on our 10.1 ArcGIS Server. The feature class has editor tracking enabled.

The problem is the editor tracking stores the feature layer connection credentials for each edit. Since SharePoint's leverages windows authentication for sites, pages and lists, can the ArcGIS for SharePoint component be configured so the windows user that edits the features in the map have their userID associated to the edits?

This seems like a limitation of using editor tracking in SharePoint for editing feature services...

Hi Ronnie,

No, at this time you cannot configure the SharePoint Map web part to associate edits with a particular user (Editor tracking). You would need to extend the map web map, but unfortunately those capabilities are not included in the ArcGIS API for Silverlight v2.4, which is what ArcGIS for SharePoint is built on. Our next release of ArcGIS for SharePoint (Approx. Q1 2013) will be based on the latest version of the API, and editor tracking functionality is on our list of features for potential support. We appreciate you bringing this up as it helps us prioritize future functionality.

Thanks,
Katy
