Creating a mobile app from Desktop to ArcGIS Mobile

I am trying to create a simple arcMobile project to show my Advanced GIS class, and Im running into many different problems.  My main problem is converting my Desktop map to a mobile map.  I ran the 'Create Mobile Map' tool and created the mobile map to my hard drive.  When I connected my ArcMobile to the Mobile Cache none of the data transferred over.  I guess what I would really like is a simple way to create a mobile project that I can show my class.

Chris O posted an entry recently on the Support Services Blog that has a really good workflow for doing this.  Create your mobile project using the steps he provided and see if it gets you better results.
