is there a geoevent processor or a similar way that i can count and update an attribute with the number of geoevents?

I am using the JSON imput connector to receive inputs as geoevent. I will like to have a count of all the geoevents written to an attribute in my feature class. Similar to the count information shown on the geoevent monitor page but the count should be written to an attribute in my feature service. I have done some search, I am not sure how to achieve this. Thanks
